Not just guns, PETA wants hunting banned
Washington Examiner ^ | December 20, 2012 | Paul Bedard

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants to take the gun control debate to a whole new level: banning hunting.

Claiming hunting desensitizes children to killing humans, the group plans to make their case Friday by crashing the National Rifle Association's press conference downtown at the Willard Hotel where they are expected to cite some form of gun ownership and sales changes they would support.

PETA officials told Secrets that they will be protesting at the hotel with signs that read "Teach Kindness, Not Killing," and "Get ALL living beings out of the crosshairs: Ban Hunting."

"The NRA's culture of cruelty instills violence in society by promoting the shooting of animals for fun, and this must be stopped," says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. "It's time we face the fact that as we strive for a more peaceful world, we must tackle all forms of senseless killing--and that includes hunting."

PETA did not mention the Sandy Hook killings in detailing their Friday plans to protest the NRA. But an official said, "The NRA's promotion of hunting and its push to put guns in the hands of children of all ages in order to kill animals is a form of violence that must be stopped if we as a country are serious about keeping children--and all citizens--safe."

Actually, hunting with my father taught me the greatest respect for life, human or otherwise.

Anyone can swat a mosquito, but how many can fix one?

God made that critter in your sights, and if he wills it, you may have it for food. Don't take that gift lightly, and never waste it.

If it is not a threat, and you aren't going to eat it, let it be.

Get those loopy fools to turn their attention to Hollywood.
How many shoot-em-up violent movies are being turned out every day from that pit hole? Then there are the violent video games that test the skill of the player to see how fast he/she can wipe out their “enemies”.

Animal populations would sore to a level the habitat could not support. Hunting animals is more human than leaving an over populated animal starve to death as they eat their surrounding habitat bare. I would LOVE to take a group of these libturds out to see what a herd of starving deer looks like before the deer expires. Definitely NOT a pretty sight. Stupid bastards!

PETA should not be allowed to eat grain harvested with sickles. They must gnaw the grain from the stems and whittle the kernels from between their teeth or else they are hypocrites.

PETA has no idea how cruel that would be to the animals. I have seen, up close and personal, masses of dead deer that starved to death because of over population and over grazing. When the snow gets deep they move very little getting their feed in a small area. When that area has too many deer most starve. Maybe they do not consider starving to death cruel.

PETA would have a fit at us. Husband has killed dozens of “innocent” little squirrels that were getting all the pears off his pear trees. He used to clean and cook them, but doesn’t wish to do that now. Now, he leaves them for the buzzards; and, believe me, they’re glad for the change from their usual diet of possums and skunks. The deer on our place have lived in total peace for many generations; but if starvation ever becomes a problem, we will hunt the deer and thin out the population. Same with the wild turkeys. - These PETA people live so disconnected from nature it’s pitiful.

Take these people and add violent movie producer Quentin Taratino to the list and give them access to a mental health facility..Any free press worth it’s salt would be vetting these members..We know some of them are guilty of past assaults on people. They are ignorant and crazy and society should be protected from them. See DRUDGE if you want to know more about Taratino..At least he is informing us concerning the exploitation of our youth for the sake of money and celebrity. Tarantino is a thousand times more dangerous to society than all of the guns of any kind in the hands of good people.

As long as the “media” gives them what they want - publicity, they will continuously do and say the most stupidest, asinine, and irritating things. The best way to make moonbats go away is to absolutely ignore them. No press, no talking points, no advertizements. Nothing, Nada.

"Teach Kindness, Not Killing,"

Message for John Cobarruvias, who advocated shooting NRA members. So, PETA, what about John? (Answer = silence).

These people are insane. How many damn deer are destroying lives through car wrecks and that is WITH hunting. Can you imagine how many deer would be around without hunting??? Good Lord these folks are beyond contempt. I wish hunting was DAILY to rid our selves of all these deer.

I’m not terribly interested in shooting animals for sport anymore though I certainly don’t begrudge anyone who is. My guns really just aren’t for hunting though. No sir.

I don't think hunting would be banned, except in libtard zones...

Even if it was, I WILL NOT COMPLY.

All the laws in the world will not keep guns out of the hands of Americans. These laws, like Prohibition in the 20’s, will just make criminals of decent people.

People in NJ jump through hoops to get “permission” to own a gun - forget about carrying - and it costs money. I often think it would be much easier just to go to Phila, pick up any weapon I want and just bring it back home. I’m sure that is what WILL happen if these liberal idiots have their way. I know that’s what I will do if I am no longer legally allowed to purchase new weapons. I would even consider a fully automatic weapon because with the riots sure to come I would need heavy firepower and lots of ammo.

Nor will I. I am thinking seriously about purchasing reloading supplies and equipment for all our weapons. Have not reloaded in many year, it did not make economic sense. But now, economics many not have a relationship to it. If our would-be masters in DC decide we should not have ammo, it might be more important than cost and time.
