Bloomberg: No One Has ‘Defended the Second Amendment as Much as I Have’(XX BARF)

“I don’t think there’s anybody that’s defended the Second Amendment as much as I have, Ray,” Mr. Bloomberg said to a caller who asked him why he was “so against” the constitutional passage . “I think you have a perfect right to buy weapons and keep them for protection or for sport. We have tried to make sure that you have it. The Supreme Court says that there are–consistent with the Second Amendment–you can have reasonable restrictions, so, for example, you can’t buy a nuclear-tipped weapon.”

Napoleon is dead.

Bloomie just smell very dead.

Can you imagine living in NY?

Did you read that the NY Stock Exchange is being sold? To a global commodities company in Atlanta.

Will they close the NY office, will NY no longer be the center of finance? Can you imagine the cost saving from moving those functions to a friendly venue?

Up yours Bloomie.

so to him, semiautomatic weapons are like having nuclear weapons. because he wants those banned.

regulation never meant banning. regulation meant if anything ensuring the guns people bought were like any other commodity, safe for the end user.

if they treated cars like guns in New York- because drivers kill a lot of people each year, hardly anyone would be driving, and you’d have to prove to a judge or sheriff you had a really good reason to drive.

You beat me because PBS had a special on about the Newtown, CT tragedy. The had a segment about Kip Kinkel who his killed mother and father as well as 2 kids at school. He said he loved his mother and father. He said he was hearing voices in his head.

Kip Kinkel, age 15, (on Prozac and Ritalin) shot his parents while they slept then went to school and opened fire killing 2 classmates and injuring 22 shortly after beginning Prozac treatment.

I can't wait for stories about Lanza's toxicology report that's still pending. There's a good chance Lanza was on Prozac or a similar drug and had serotonin syndrome. Too many killers have been on this class of antidepressants called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, SSRIs.

Who is that guy from England with a French name on, I think CNN, that recently said “If I had my way we would get rid of all firearms, but I’m for the Second Amendment”

I’m really not sure if that Barf alert was satisfactory. I had already read the title before I got to it.

“The Supreme Court says that there are–consistent with the Second Amendment–you can have reasonable restrictions, so, for example, you can’t buy a nuclear-tipped weapon.”

These arguments don’t really make any kind of sense. So, I can have a firearm, but not some especially dangerous ones, that is a “reasonable restriction”, according to them. However, I also can’t carry a weapon that is LESS dangerous than the most legal firearms, for example a large knife, or a set of brass knuckles, or a crossbow. How is that a reasonable restriction?

Thanks Texas Fossil. Dimberg:
"I think you have a perfect right to buy weapons and keep them for protection or for sport. We have tried to make sure that you have it."
Doesn't matter, you raging asshole -- the Constitution of the United States doesn't guarantee our right to hunt, but guarantees that our right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Learn to live with that, or commit suicide, I don't care which.

Fascinating. So the Constitution, granted the government, the right to bear arms. Wonder why every other reference to “the people” refers to an individual right?

Billionaire doesn’t always mean bright. It often means bright on one topic. On everything else, not so much.
