There have been all these articles about how Ryan is a total Boehner lackey lately. Besides, Ryan is 0% different than Boehner. Ryan doesn’t believe in and spending cuts, except in the continual future. Now he believes in spending cuts 5 years in the future. Five years from now, the spending cuts will be 5 years in the future. Five years after that, spending cuts will be 5 years from then. The spending cuts magically never happen. Ryan does not believe in actual spend cuts. Ever.

I think Issa is where exactly he needs to be. We need somebody why can excel at keeping Democrats feet to the fire, through a slow roaster.
Ryan is acceptable, because he knows the financial figures and can go toe-to-toe with any of the Democrats.
