If this was in England, they’d probably sentence him to rot in a simulated prison.

Folks, this is seriously the wrong way to go about defending yourself. It is a very easy way to get shot. Only draw a weapon when you are ready to shoot. When you draw might be different than me or someone else, but at that moment you need to be able to immediately back up your threat with a shot or risk the consequences.

This is undoubtedly a false report. Everyone knows handguns, even simulated cannot stop crime.

Of course you are correct, but being this is California, perhaps it was not the burglar, but the police, who were bluffed about whether or not an actual firearm had been present.

Wonder if he's one of those who are too scared to have a gun in house. If so then he's a hypocrite.

Just this week an elementary school aged kid got expelled for pointing his fingers like a gun.

I used an unloaded, bolt action, single shot 410, to totally dominate 4 black robbers one night, and forced them to bring my stuff back to me, that they had been leaving with.

I would do that again.

“Only draw a weapon when you are ready to shoot”

Defensive display where legal is a viable option that works well in some situations.

It is much better to resolve the situation with out fireing a shot then to have to shoot.
