I went for an AR15 but the only one left (out of hundreds they had in stock) was a fancy $4,000 AR10.
My main goal today was to get something that would be banned if they renew the ban on high capacity magazines.
It was difficult to believe how many people were buying guns.
What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?
Are they defining all semi autos as “assault weapons” or just the ones that look “mean” to liberals?
Fully auto guns are almost impossible for ordinary citizens to come by, I guess the liberals really want to ban all guns and getting rid of the “mean” looking ones, the ones that make them pee their panties to look at, is just a start.I own just one gun, it is not semi auto, it’s a revolver that holds 7 bullets, they’ll want to confiscate that too I reckon. Who could need 7 whole bullets after all?
The first gun I ever owned, when I was 12 years old was a single shot bolt action .22, what a pain in the butt to have to reload after every single plink.
Leonidas and his men held the pass for three days until a spy betrayed them. Leonidas’ 300 Spartans and about a 1,000 other Greeks held Xerxes at bay until the rest of the Greek Army could withdraw. Of the hundreds of thousands of Persians committed, 20,000 of Xerxes’ best died in this battle. Leonidas died with his men. How many of you cops want to follow the lead of Xerxes-Bloomberg-Cuomo-Obama? Do they pay you enough to turn your guns on your fellow American friends, neighbors, and relatives? Molon Labe — if you dare.
“DO THEY THINK THEYRE JUST GOING TO GO DOOR-TO-DOOR AND TAKE THEM??”
Thats why they have the military running exercises to search for “weapons dealers”.
I'm putting that on my list of great ideas.
“I’m wonderin how they’ll deal with all the anonymous tips of assault weapons and gunfire in liberal’s and minorities homes?”
No need to spend $1,000 either.
Interesting, in the Chinese sense of the word,
Obviously, liberal politicians, gubmint woikas, and leftist drones, all think it'll be just that easy. Man, are they in for a surprise.
But wait now. Don’t ya first have to go fish em outta the lake where ya lost em? :-)
“police departments nationwide are thinking of ways to confiscate such weapons.”
Utter BS. I know lots of big city cops. Cops are thinking of ways to avoid trouble when TSHF, safely go home to protect their families and collect a pension.
Big city cops have no power beyond the leftist city ratholes.
So forget the leftist Sun-Tzu fake crap that the LAPD is about to sweep the nation and confiscate everyone’s rifle. This is nothing more than a leftist fantasy by the commies who are scared sh*tless by 80 million Americans who own guns.
Have a merry Christmas, everyone.
If you plan on turning over a single firearm to the jackboots, then you've missed the entire reason for the 2nd Amendment.
My gun budget was toast for this month, so I was planning on getting the AR next month. Then the shooting happened, and everything disappeared in the panic buying.
I've been to a couple of my favorite gun stores, and they are out of everything AK and AR related.
Well said brother!
I ain’t giving up a damn thing!
Yeah, you could use the proceeds to pay for a month or two of private medical insurance now that ObamaCare has brought the rates down (sarc)
I think that’s why Barry put Uncle Joe BiteMe in charge of the project. Barry knows it ain’t going anywhere.
tagline... From My cold dead hands.
“When asked by a DI if I was willing to die for my country, I replied No way, but I’d be more than happy to make that other SOB die for his...”
I took an oath to defend this country from Enemies foreign and DOMESTIC, I am an oath Keeper to the end.
Ten years earlier in 490 B.C. The Persian King Darius tried to do the same thing except he landed at Marathon which is not far from Athens.
Herodotus put the Persian number at 100,000 but modern historians think it was closer to 25-35,000. The Athenians numbered around 10,000 (plus a thousand Plataens).
Darius army was a professional one trained and equipped by the Persian Empire. The Greeks were free men and the soldiers who could afford to wore heavy armor (hoplites). The ones who could not afford the armor were something like slingers and archers.
The Greeks gave Darius a bloody nose at Marathon but that was not the end. The Athenians who must have been exhausted from the battle, nevertheless marched the 26 miles to Athens and when Darius ships arrived at the port of Piraeus he found the heavily armed Greeks waiting for him.
I was thinking thermite.
It is typical of them to use a burner phone, have a gal record a “panicked” call from script on a pocket recorder, make the call from near target, remove the phone battery, and leave. Of course it doesn't have so much effect, should a liberal be accidentally targeted by one of their own, because liberals will be thrilled with the "pleasure" of entertaining police in their home.
“Those types of things get very nasty very quickly. They have families too. They may go out confiscating weapons and return home to find the price of obeying mammon”.......what if the SOBs are muslims, or we don’t know who they are, and they live in places far away from the altercations?
“Man, are they in for a surprise.”
I hear ya’ Brother.
80 million gun owners? That’s a lot of doors to kick down - especially if there’s an ornery patriot on the other side.
LOL! That would not be wise.
The mayor said a shooting rampage like the one at Sandy Hook Elementary only happens in America.
Not only is Bloomberg an idiot, he is also a liar.
When they leave home for the first day of confiscating will they disarm the wife first, their brother, father?
What will the bad guys be doing when all this confiscation is going down?
You bet it is.
I can’t believe someone is even thinking about it.
This would be a grand way to start a “realignment” of the country.
Want to bet that Kelly or Bloomberg are out front on the confiscation teams .... or do you think they will be back in their safe offices playing with their guns?
Fifth Amendment: "No person shall be...deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law..."
IMO The fact that they're thinking of ways to confiscate peoples' firearms, is evidence that they know people will not meekly surrender them.
The result, of course, would mean Ruby Ridge & Branch Davidian style raids, across the country, and would likely provide Obama the excuse he needs, to declare martial law.
Which, perhaps, is the ultimate goal.
I commented on this scene of the movie a couple of days ago in a couple of threads.
How can you tell? When his lips move.
As of this moment, it’s unlikely that local cops will go house to house confiscating illegal firearms. After all, they’re our neighbors with ties to the communities they live in.
Funny how some folks get their back up when they get caught talking like a liberal.
I can't believe you suggested that anyone in this community cooperate with the jackboot gun grabbers.
If they start coming for our guns, they'd better worry more about trees and rooftops than kicking in doors.
This would be in direct violation of the US Constitution.
Section 9, paragraph 3 of Article I says, “No Bill of Attainder or ex-post facto Law shall be passed.”
Have you seen the Daily News and NY Post front pages, they are calling Lapierre Crazy. Support for the NRA is being demonized and ridiculed and demonized. How long do you think it will take for the Repubs to throw the NRA and us overboard?
UN troops, what a joke. Their casualty rate would be perhaps the highest ever encountered when they got to the rural areas of the US. Better tell Ban Ki-moon to order one body bag per trooper sent.
” Other than a few that might be in the hands of organized crime bosses and drug dealers, I can’t imagine that there are very many “assault rifles” within the boundaries of New York City.
It’s virtually impossible just to get a pistol permit there, unless you’re a celebrity with national name recognition.”
It looks like New York is the Liberal’s testing ground. They are making headway in disarming the public and have even made huge inroads into policing what it’s citizens may eat and drink. So far, there hasn’t been all that much push-back, which must be very encouraging to the wannabe American Gestapo.
I’m afraid their confidence might be a little misplaced and off the mark. There would no doubt be some nasty surprises in store for them if they decide to push their agenda in some other parts of the country.
Yep. That’s why I’m settling for a 9mm carbine.
It also helps to round out my little collection.
If this order were ever given half of my towns police force would vanish. More than half of the dispatchers, too.
If I'm going to fight a war I intend to inflict heavy damage repeatedly and continuously for as long as possible. I just can't imagine anyone thinking that throwing lives away to make a big show is somehow a rational tactic of war that has been passed down through centuries of victory.
But if you think you've made some great point that overshadows the (literally) thousands of times I have post MOLON LAVE then sit back and feel good about yourself. You're usually pretty intelligent but no one has a perfect record. ;-)
Ok..they have a record that years ago you purchased a AR..but you sold it in a private sale a long time ago. Will they demand to search your house..? Then what?
I doubt very much if police departments across the country are worried about this.
The amount of vitriol spewing from the Kulturkampfers in Bloomberg’s little crime ridden paradise over the Second Amendment exceeds belief here.
The Daily News called Wayne LaPierre the Craziest Man in the world. Today’s New York Daily news is full of editorializations by the left-wing thought NAZIs in the media.
Bloomberg is fairly BURSTING with self-righteousness over this subject, as always.
