So carrying a gun 24/7 makes me Wonder Woman? How is this any different from the whacko’s mother who kept guns in the house, knowing her son was mentally ill and dangerous? I would be willing to bet that many of the victims of domestic violence have been stealthily killed with a weapon (i.e. club, axe, poison, drugs) that can not easily be traced and identify the assailant. How many women just suddenly disappear - while ex husband claims innocence or “there must have been an accident” - and then her body is found weeks later strangled, stabbed, etc? If my marriage had a history of domestic violence, #1 I would get out, and #2, until the time I leave, I would certainly NOT keep a gun in the house only to have it used on ME.

If your deranged husband wants to kill you while you’re living together, he’ll find a way...gun or no gun. I’m talking about women who have already separated from or divorced their husbands and are living apart from their exes. My wife is more than a little afraid of her first husband and is glad I’ve got a gun in the house. She even asked me about the possibility of getting one for herself. And before she met me, she was extremely anti-gun. Moreover, she’s a very small woman, and her ex would have no trouble killing her without a firearm.
