Only 23 signatures. If we could get 25,000 it would be a huge embarrassment for the pResident.
Excellent idea.
This is a great idea. Throw their POS ideas back in their face.
Zactly..! We need to save, while also eliminating ALL threats to the Preezie ONCE AND FOR ALL...!
This will REALLY show all the bad guys out there we really mean biz..!
No guns around the Preezie AT ALL..! Zip, zero, nada —TOTAL SAFETY..!
Sheer brilliance..!
If the President doesn't feel we the Populace don't require protection than he doesn't either.
The Secret Service should be dissolved.
Wait —why not do for all of DC what we would do for the Preezie..?
Gun free zone for the ENTIRE District of Columbia..!
All cops —flashlights or bananas.
I love when the Right uses Alinsky’s rules against the Leftists.

So would this mean if Obama came walking down your street or mind, that whatever weapons were owned by residents on said street, they would have to be surrendered first before “The One” deigned to walk down your street or mine?
I’d vote for that!
I’d vote for that!
This needs to go to the NRA/Wayne Lapierre.
Imagine the NRA membership getting behind this and signing the petition.
“So would this mean if Obama came walking down your street or mind, that whatever weapons were owned by residents on said street, they would have to be surrendered first before The One deigned to walk down your street or mine?”
It wouldn’t be a problem as you know every gun free zone is definitely free of guns - all would immediately give up every gun for the Pres. to walk by. It’s a mystery how mass killings are done in gun free zones but not in gun areas. Maybe someone will figure out why that is.
We all already figured it out. It’s the brain dead stupid politicians, LSM, and all the other gun grabbers that haven’t figured it out.
I would rather have my tax dollars go to pay a security guard at my local school, or pay to have teachers and/or Administrators trained any day than to spend money protecting the dummy politicians.
if our president and most peopel in power have the right to be protected by guns- then why are we as American citizwens even questioning the right to own guns ourselves? This shouldn’t ev en be a discussion- we have the RIGHT to self protection using deadly force- just as the dear leader and everyoen in congress has a right to be protected-
Lapierre NEEDS to tell the president that as soon asw the government gives up the right to bear arms, the people then MAY CONCIDER doing likewise- (although probalby not- because we will STILL be vulnerable to criminals and violent acts agaisnt us- as well as becoming vulnerable to a tyranical government which is what our forefathers wished to avoid for we the people!
Everyone’s afraid to sign it..
There should be one around the MSM gun control lobby as well. The one catch with this petition is you have to establish a WhiteHouse.gov account first, before you can sign it. Do we want to be on that list?
IF anything happens to that guy our government will rise up and give us a week off with triple time pay for any work done, instead of just the one day in February like with MLK, Junior!!!
Expand these gun free zones around media buildings also...
For good reason
We are all slaves of a totalitarian federal apparatus that will make anyone signingvsuch a petition a target
This is no longer a free country
If you're not on one yet it's a good place to start. This is taking the Second Amendment argument to another level. This is bringing the rules in their game of change, where they keep their guns and preach us out of ours, to light.
This is part of the fight to restore Constitutional balance. This is an opportunity to re-establish a sense of doing something positive instead of just complaining. This is the time to start acting like we deserve the freedom and liberty entrusted to US by those Founders so venerated and quoted on this site.
We have to start acting like Americans sometime, why not now when it can be done in a peaceful manner?

“mind” = “mine”. Should have proofread a bit better.
I do believe that petition was pulled. Nice try, though.
I think you missed my point or else your reply to me is not very clear or your reasoning isn’t. I don’t know that “every gun free zone is definitely free of guns” and I don’t think anyone else does either unless every inch of the “zone” were searched by trained folks. Would everyone “immediately give up [their] every gun”? I’ve read that “mass killings are done in gun free zones but not in gun areas” but this seems to me to be quite easy to understand and accept, assuming it is in fact a true statement. I don’t know that it is true.
Sorry, I should have put a big “sarcastic” on that post. Of course, gun free zones are NOT free of bad guy guns.
It is true that except in the shooting of Gabby Gifford, every mass killing was done in a restrictive gun area.
Glad to see that. Thanks. The links I used to that site kept telling me I already signed it. I couldn’t find it amongst the list of petitions provided when I started looking for it.
Best post of the thread.
Everyone on freerepublic is already on a "list".
I am on so many, I don't bother to keep track.
It is up to 94. I am pleased to say that I was in the first 100. We can do this.
Now you're on the 'first one hundred list' list ; )
Get on enough lists, and you are marketable ;-)
SIGNED!
Somebody lit a fahr under some butts. Counts up to 2150.
