The local town board here wanted to extend the business inspector`s power to inspect the outsides of houses and property of every homeowner in town to see if the colors of the houses were “appropriate” colors for the town and if they had anything on their property that resembled “unwanted junk” for which both offenses they could be fined or liened. So I confronted the idiot who was behind this malarkey and told him he was a no-good bum and he better not send any inspectors to trespass on my private property. He quickly said “Oh that is for businesses only-Of course he was lying because the town board meetings are recorded and televised live. The next town meeting they booed him and the board decided not to pursue the matter. NIP IT IN THE BUD.

I once lived in a pink brownstone. I wished there had been some kind of law against such a-holery but then probably the rent wouldn’t have been such a good deal. I never bothered to give people the house number. “It’s the pink one.”
