OK! Where did the sidebar go? Nothing on the right of my page! What happened? No Front Page news, no nothing! Where oh where did my sidebar go?
FR looks pretty messed up right now. Nothing loads. What gives? DOS attack?

I don’t know. Something’s wrong with the system. Have sent a message to John but haven’t heard back yet. A temporary workaround is to click on “Account” then “My Preferences” and set to twenty results per page.
Yes! I’m logged in! Also, only about 10 threads/articles show up and nothing else loads. Can’t scroll beyond those threads and like I said, nothing else works! Merry Christmas! Headed to church. I’ll say a prayer for all the Freepers and FR, too...that it might stop acting up!

This is really weird. Free Republic is working great for me.
For the first time, when others are complaining about FR, I am having absolutely zero problems with it.
Of course, the last time there were problems (around election time) I took Jim’s advice and streamlined my view down to the bare basics, the way I only ever cared to have it anyway. When I click on my FR ‘favorites’ tab all I want is ‘Latest posts’, headers only. That way I get to see all (or most) of the latest thread titles and at the same time see which threads are getting the most activity and therefore the most interest. After a couple of refreshes and scrolls, I’ve seen 99% of the active thread titles.
Rarely did I ever use the sidebar or key words or any of the other stuff. Don’t miss it at all.
Get him on the phone, STAT!

I’m logged in. Tried setting 20 and 50 per page. Will only load less than 10. Hard to use right now. And no sidebar showing up.

Try buying a longer computer. Go to Safari preferences and hit Extensions to see how many feet you have left on FR. When was the last time you fed your mouse cheese?

I recall that Sidebar Moderator was lost at sea some years ago. Perhaps the answer was lost with him.
