Conservatives urge GOP leaders to be bold, prepare to go over cliff

Conservative activists who helped doom Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) “Plan B” say Republicans must be prepared to go over the fiscal cliff to force President Obama to reach a deal that includes no tax hikes. …

“I think Obama is very mindful of his legacy and is horrified of going over the cliff,” said Andy Roth of the Club for Growth. “Going over the cliff might be a signal that needs to be sent to the president, that he needs to play ball.” …

“I think it is certainly better to go over the fiscal cliff than to have the Republican party deny the American people to have one party that stands for lower taxes and another party that doesn’t,” Michael Needham of Heritage Action said last week. …

“The worst thing that Republicans can do is raise taxes,” Matt Kibbe of Freedomworks said Friday. “If Obama wants to raise taxes, he can do that, but Republicans shouldn’t give him cover. If Obama wants to go over the cliff, let him own that.” …

The media will make sure that the Tea Party owns every bad thing that happens until doomsday.

Here's the flaw in this political strategy.

All those taxes go up January 1 without either party votes and then Obama will continue to blame Rs for them going up and every day he will get on TV and demand the house pass (extend) middle class tax cuts.
Obama: “The Republican party is blocking tax cuts for you to protect those billionaires from paying a dollar more in taxes

Obama plays to win, not to play symbolic games. We will never beat him by living in a fantasy world where these taxes stay as they are if Republicans do nothing.

Sure, just don’t expect Obama to “own” anything.

Owebama doesn't give a doom about his legacy because the propaganda media will make him out to be a demigod no matter what he does. So...quit dealing. Work to save the republic. Do that and only that. Good things will follow!

Why do the news media and commentators always fail to mention that even if the tax on income over $250,000 is raised by 4.6%, all the amount under $250,000 for 100% of taxpayers will keep the Bush tax cut rate if the House approves the Senate plan.

When the media stops getting paid, what are they going to say then? A propaganda media is only as good as the money they’re getting to do it.

Furthermore, I don’t understand why conservatives are still letting themselves be dictated to by a man, Grover Norquist, who as reported here several times at FR is an apparent Muslim sympathizer. Is this why he is pushing so hard for no taxes that will damage support to our Military? What his efforts will do to our military if sequestration is allowed to take place borders on treason.

“I think it is certainly better to go over the fiscal cliff than to have the Republican party deny the American people to have one party that stands for lower taxes and another party that doesn’t,” Michael Needham of Heritage Action said last week."

Agree 100%.
If the Republicans cave on taxes, the GOP is through. Period.

And that includes the lame "additional revenues from closing loopholes and deductions" crap. More tax dollars confiscated and dumped down the government toilet is more tax dollars removed from the private sector and dumped down the government toilet where Democrat politicians can use it for growing government and buying the votes of the moocher class.

“The worst thing that Republicans can do is raise taxes,” Matt Kibbe of Freedomworks said Friday. “If Obama wants to raise taxes, he can do that, but Republicans shouldn’t give him cover. If Obama wants to go over the cliff, let him own that.”

And Ubama WILL own it. History will record that whatever happens happened on Ubama's watch. Nobody will even remember who was in Congress at the time, or who the Speaker of the House was or who the Senate Majority Leader was. The FAIL will be Ubama's alone.

Why do conservatives care what the useless republicans do? I sure don't! Stop relying on the loser republican's to do conservative bidding, they won't do it because they are mostly rino prix!

Now that the latest fiscal cliff has come and gone, now it's time to vote on permanent tax rates and other changes to laws.

No more 1-year or 2-year or 2-month extensions because of a "temporary" downtown in the economy.

No more silly "payroll tax holidays", which only help to bankrupt Al Gore's Social Security Lockbox even faster.

Time to leave the Coolest Kid In Junior High to his golf games and snappy patter, while the adults take care of business. Let the media follow Obama; he means nothing anyway. While the CKIJH makes whiny noises for his followers in the media, the adults who actually want to make a difference need to act in the best interest of this country.

Anything the GOP says or claims is wrong. Obama would LOVE to go over the fiscal cliff and destroy the GOP once and for all.

This fiscal cliff thing is a win/win for the Communist Obama. He gets his tax raises, and as a bonus they are on everybody, and he gets to blame Republicans for it with a full media assault driving it home nightly. This is exactly what he wanted and played Boner and the Republicans like a fiddle.

As we watch our country disintegrate into a morass of political corruption, we apologize to our grandchildren. It was our generation who didn’t protect the freedoms we see slipping away. It was our generation who let our politicians throw away our freedoms and to run up debt that our grandchildren will have to repay. We know only a handful of people who do not fear for our country. We tried. We tried but we didn’t try hard enough.

. . . and will continue to do so until the GOP stops permitting them to do it and fights back.
