Kerry's alleged ties to Communist China ignored by news media
Examiner ^ | 12/24/12 | Jim Kouri

Conventional wisdom in the nation's capital has it that Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) is a sure bet to be confirmed as U.S. Secretary of State by the U.S. Senate, despite his alleged anti-war propaganda when he returned from his brief tour-of-duty in Vietnam and his ties to China as a senator. In fact, on Sunday leaders of the controversial conservative group known as the Swift Boaters, who attacked John Kerry's military record to derail his bid for the White House in 2004, said they won't actively fight his nomination as Secretary of State.

Even foreign leaders are expected to welcome Kerry as Hillary Clinton's replacement, such as Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who said he welcomed the nomination of U.S. Sen. John Kerry as the next Secretary of State.

"Kerry is a shoe-in the top administration job and few Republicans will attempt to derail his appointment. The people responsible for informing Americans about Kerry's suspicious past have given up their role as purveyors of honest news so there's no chance of Kerry being stopped," said political strategist Mike Baker.

I’m nearly speechless from reading that the Swiftboaters and BiBi N. both are OK with Kerry? Good Grief, Charlie Brown. Wake me in 2016. Arg.

Swiftboaters letting us down, I didn’t expect that.

Still haven’t seen Kerry’s F180 he promised to release.

Repubicans who let this Piece of Excrement be appointed Secretary of State are as guilty of treason as Kerry is.

This 4 years is going to be something else. Fasten your seat belts./

Kerry is a man of such low moral character I doubt he can last a month as Secretary of State without committing an especially egregious felony.

In the meantime the puke is out of the Senate where he can do more harm.

Part of the problem with the 0bama regime is exemplified here. It is almost expected that his appointees will be problematic in one way or another. If Kerry weren’t able to be confirmed for any reason, the next pick would be even worse. Does anyone think that Kerry will be a better secretary of state than Susan Rice would have been? It may not make any real difference, as whoever is chosen will just be a mouthpiece for 0bama.

Kerry has no patriotism and no character, but given the current occupant of our White House, it's hard to care. Frankly, I hope Kerry still has active ties to the Chinese communist government - they are less anti-American than Obama, Pelosi, and Reid, and they might want to keep America prosperous out of self interest, which is more than we can hope for from the Community-Organizer-in-Chief.

“Alleged anti-war propaganda”??

He was an out and out traitor calling for our defeat and communist victory. Met behind closed doors with the North Vietnamese in Paris, to support their victory.

Maybe Kerry has some good vibes with the Chi-Coms and Vietnamese. This might not be a bad thing. He even knows old Assad well—maybe when Kerry says its time to go move to Russia—he will. Lets see how Lurch does—If he screws up we can mock him. The Dems have no one else of note out there. Also, old Kerry isn’t the same man he was in Vietnam (none of us are) Maybe he has learned a few things—lets hope so.

“Maybe he has learned a few things—lets hope so.”

It’s not a question of what he knows. It’s a matter of what he is.

Kerry picked a fight with GW, a sitting president, over Bush’s
lack of a Vietnam combat record over a dozen years after draft
dodger Clinton proved military experience means zero in pres-
idential politics. For that he stirred up a nest of Swiftboat Vets
and got his ass stung. If there was a Secretary of Derangment
John-boy would be the man. Otherwise he needs to sit down
and shut-up.

To sum up Kerry is to refer to him as “The Cambodian Kid”.

The fact that the entire Democrat party is just a western proxy for the entire global Communist movement should have been enough of an issue for the media to report on it and put the entire party out of business by the 1960s...........but here we are.

Kerry picked a fight with GW, a sitting president, over Bush’s lack of a Vietnam combat record ....

John Kerry is not the first young aspiring pol who went off to war to get his ticket punched and who embellished his military credentials after the fact. That is rather common throughout history.

That said, the curious thing about Kerry is the way he overplayed his hand. He had lived his own legend so long that he had grown utterly careless about the embellishments and historical revisionism. That says a lot about Kerry himself. It also says a lot about our media culture, in the way that a democrat presidential candidate would so easily assume that the news media would never challenge a heavily fictionalized record. Had he not kicked the hornets nest with his "I, Rambo" number against GWB, he would have gotten away with it.

But in his complacency and arrogance, he forget that there are quite a few witnesses who know the full story. All the swift boaters did was step up and do what the press should have done many years ago, when Kerry first got into politics. Yes, they exposed Kerry. But they also exposed the MSM. And for that, they will continue to be demonized.

Completely concur.

Still, there is an additional element or two that grates on the mind
regarding Kerry/Vietnam. There is something about tossing your
combat metals over the WH fence and, later, using that very same
combat experience (embellished, as you say) against another
when it suits your political purpose that is absurd to anyone but
a hardcore Democrat. Even WWII bomber pilot George McGovern
was n.ever that crass.
