Sounds like a tentative agreement has been reached for a temporary extension of ALL tax cuts.

There may also be agreement on a temporary delay of ALL spending cuts.

In other words...

A "Continuing Resolution" of the status quo.

The Republicans would have agreed to this 6 weeks ago if Obama hadn't chosen the path to High Drama.

This was either planned from the beginning (”Ubanga rides to the rescue!”) or Ubanga’s people got sick of seeing the Drudge Report and advised Ubanga that he is looking pretty bad and “out of touch”.

I don’t think His Heinous NerObama gives a rat’s arse about how he is perceived by this people any longer outside of creating the myth he is a god and benevolent dictator all must worship and approve of.

He has no election to win, and has more flexibility now that he has secured himself in office again.

It’s all politiks now. All for show and creation of the meme the media will establish as narrative for the purpose of consolidating all power within their man-god.

Vacation...He goes golfing...to the gym....

When hubby and I and children went on vacation, we did things together. He wouldn't even think of going golfing or to the gym with the boys.

Re: "we went over the fiscal cliff a long time ago...."

Great point, Bookman.

Massive debt, massive money printing, massive government guarantees, massive unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare, and state pensions.

We are in deep, deep trouble.

"Where he was born"

Yes!

I saw that, too.

One word explanation...

“Reuters”

I also noticed the camouflaged blame shifting for a possible tax cut extension.

Reuters says Obama must secure Republican agreement in the Senate for that to pass.

They make it sound like Republicans, who are in the minority, might block the tax cuts.

The fact is exactly opposite.

Many Democrats will vote against the tax cut extension, and Obama will most likely need many Senate Republicans to support it.

However, many of the Tea Party Republicans in the House oppose the extension of the 2% cut in the Social Security Payroll Tax.

I'm wondering if they will vote against the Extension.

It has always been pretty bizarre how little time Obama spends with his family. 18 holes of golf and the trip to the course is a good chunk of the day. And he did that several times on a short family vacation!

Just like A.P. "Where he was born." (A.P. added "and was raised.") They are afraid they public hasn't completely swallowed this fable, so they keep repeating it in the hope that they will believe it.

Open note to A.P. and Reuters:

BO wasn't born in Hawai'i. No one believes it. Save your ink and pixels and typing fingers.

Although I’m sure they want us to believe that, I think there is a different issue at work here. They-the MSM-have determined folks aren’t thrilled this clown vacations in Hawaii whenever possible when he never set foot there before our dime came along. They need to establish a reason this is where they spend Christmas.

If he’d go to his 4+ million $$$$$ vacation, maybe just maybe Boehner would find the cajones to do his d*** job and just pass a responsible bdget bill with a substantial tax cut. As long as Zero is hanging around this will never happen.

This is perfect for old hussein, he gets good press, he gets rid of the family and god knows what kind of perversion he can committ in the oval office over new years eve.

It's going to be a gay old time in D.C.

But hey, I’m glad he has to come back. How many vacations did any of us get? I know I didn’t, nless it was a for a few hours as part of business travel.

Oh, the hardship..this “presidentin” stuff is hard!

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year.In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.

I’ll be sure to get an extra newspaper for the extra coupons to clip Sunday so I can help fund another trip for this selfless, pennypinching, deficit hawk who is so worried about the me, the “workin’ man”.

“However, many of the Tea Party Republicans in the House oppose the extension of the 2% cut in the Social Security Payroll Tax”.

One of those really bad ideas meant to go right over the head of Republican haters, that is doing nothing more than speeding up the demise of SS, and increasing the federal deficit.

...but obama gets to use as a bludgeon and call it a tax cut.

Low info voters, are his base, where the obvious is obscured by Bee Ess.

“The cliff we have already fallen over is $ 16 trillion in debt”.

Correct! What isn’t so obvious is the 87 to 222 Trillion in unfunded promises made by the federal government to the American people that are impossible to fund.

The exact number of trillions of the promises is based somewhat on who you talk too or who is doing the calculation, nevertheless, it is the hidden cliff and isn’t going away any time soon.

Oh I almost forgot, we are all part of the problem, so we better all be ready for the pain, and the states, all fifty of them are in on it too.

Oh say can you see, AK, WY, and ND bailing out the other 48?

The media (and the public, they hope) are being played. This is James Brown/Famous Flames theatre with a weary Obama doing just one more number. Meanwhile it gives Michelle the perfect cover for - yet again - flying separately and nearly doubling the cost of the trip.

You know, a point in time is coming where the new Tea Party members should bear some of the responsibility of what’s going on in the House! What I mean is, they have an obligation to rise up against the Speaker and the other “Leadership” guys like Cantor and McCarthy.

They need to make a bigger stand against the Establishment types.
