WEBSTER, N.Y. (AP) — Residents of a suburban Rochester, N.Y., neighborhood gutted by a fire set by a man who gunned down four volunteer firefighters have been allowed to return to their homes. Local media outlets report that authorities began letting homeowners return to their properties in Webster on Tuesday, a day after 62-year-old William Spengler shot four firefighters, killing two, after setting the pre-dawn blaze that destroyed seven homes along Lake Ontario and damaged two others.

Pictures at link of the firefighters killed by William Spengler. Heartbreaking. Who was the judge that turned this murdering scum loose to kill again?

The article says he killed his grandmother with a hammer years ago.

Why has he been sucking oxygen these many years?

My question exactly.

Notice how they just brush over this important fact, while being quite specific about the Bushmaster.

Grrrrr

Did the devil throw this POS a fiery welcome party upon his one way entrance to his new home? He won’t be able to shoot any firemen down there in the lake of fire. Just the fear of imagining going to hell scares me to Jesus the Saviour. Thank you Lord for salvation.

The article was excerpted, so they may have mentioned he was an ex-con who had murdered his grandmother. How much do you think he had been terrorizing his sister in the intervening years? The scum we have walking the streets in this country...and they ask why would anyone want to possess a gun?

It’s in the story. He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter.

I have close to zero faith in what passes for a justice system in this nation.

You're right. The story has been expanded at the link over what was there when I read it.

Spengler had been charged with murder in his grandmother's death but pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter, apparently to spare his family a trial. After he was freed from prison, Spengler had lived a quiet life on Lake Road on a narrow peninsula where Irondequoit Bay meets Lake Ontario.

He pleaded guilty to spare his family? After beating his grandmother to death with a hammer?

These deals get approved by the DA and the judge follows that lead....it means their department can save trial money....the cheap way out.

It should have never happened. It should have been life without parole.

Don't know who the DA was at the time.....the old echelon...but can't remember. Wonder who he reported to while still on parole.

And these parole boards?? They can go to hell.

Pssst...They're talking about letting Hinckley out...I'll post an article that shows that Hinckley lies like hell to the board.

Yes. I read that.

That doesn’t make him less evil.

Meanwhile, on the same day, two people were shot dead in Chicago. I kept waiting for them to talk about that in the news. Instead they went on and on about how the nutbag had a Bushmaster. But did it have an evil pistol grip? Probably not, he shot the firefighters from a distance.

We need to find out who that DA was, and publicize the heck out of his/her actions. Maybe use that strategy of publishing names and addresses, so that everybody can know what they did, who they are and where they live.

You think that’s bad? Look up Arthur Shawcross and the horrific trail he laid across the state.

Liberal scumbags buy into the stories these miscreants weave, then blame the non-criminal neighbors for causing their relapse to crime. Murderers deserve death, not life!

I'm guessing I really don't want to know.
