Violent crime down, firearm ownership and concealed carry expanded greatly. So liberals and socialist want more gun control and many firearms made illegal. I’ll never believe they are that stupid, they are trying to take advantage of any crisis to remove firearms, I believe the connection is the democrats and socialist who idolize the likes of chairman mao, stalin, castro , chavez and che. At least they don’t openly praise hitler although some of their islamic associates do. I wonder how many of them hope to see the day arrive when they too can emulate che and shoot someone, who’s hands are wired behind their backs, in the head?
I agree that the impetus behind these laws is mostly political. Gun owners tend not to be friends of Democrats. And liberal and leftist folks are scared to death of armed citizens.

Some self-proclaimed "liberals" actually are that stupid, but they, too, are carrion feeders who strive long and hard to turn horrific crimes into golden opportunities to enact so-called "gun control" laws.
Do they really hate guns that much? I'm sure not, or they'd advocate disarming the police, too. They hate the Second Amendment; even more, they hate all of us uppity commoners who dare assert the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Their motivations are anti-realistic beliefs, a pathological compulsion to control other people, fear, a craving to avenge themselves against normal people, and most powerful of all, blind hatred for America and ordinary Americans.
