Stop the Federal attack on the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution by violating the trust of the people and its Gov.

The Federal Government is restrained from "infringing upon" the basic Rights of all Americans: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." The Secon Amendment of the U.S. Constitution strictly forbids the Federal Government " . . .shall not be infringed." The Federal Governments attempt to regulate and ban semi-automatic weapons with the specific threat to confiscate Americans lawful firearms is directly contrary to the prohibitions placed on this Federal Government in the Seceond Amendment of the U. S. Constituiton and WE THE PEOPLE demand their Federal Government Cease an Desist from writing and adopting any legislation that will ban Americans from owning semi-automatic firearms

Any politician attacking or infringing upon the civil rights of the citizens should be made immediately ineligible to serve and forced to resign without pension or health care.

If they refuse to do so, then they should be arrested and charged with treason.

The ony signature worthy of replying is a muzzle flash. There is no need to petition something that is crystal clear.

Fellow FReepers, am I just being paranoid or could the dictator in chief use these petitions as a data-mining tool to create an enemies list? My Congressional reps hear from me on a regular basis on a variety of issues including the 2nd Amendment, and I wouldn’t out it past these criminals in the WH to start profiling people who sign these petitions.

After the massacre in Connecticut, I began to wonder if the NRA has been a government data-gathering tool all along, keeping tabs on gun owners until the feds thought they had a chance at a successful national confiscation.

You are aware that Congress has full power to repeal or change the 2nd Amendment, arent you? The constitution is a living document, and is not set in stone. The question is, how far will Congress and the Obaminator go?

What is it with FreeRepublic being directed to a WH site .. like .. an invitation to the enemy camp .. and for what?

To ask if they'll play nice?

No, really ... they're not keeping track of your computer .. that's that stupid Republican conspiracy nutjob stuff.

I will not sign ANY white house petition. They are absolutely nothing more than an Obama-created data mining operation to help them target voters.
Does anyone seriously think they -suddenly- give a rats a$$ what we think?

That my friend will be the shot heard round the world. They possibly could change the law but how will they enforce it from where they will be if they try it? Where will they get the money to run a government with only leeches for subjects and them hiding in the dark like cockroaches? Prohibition on alcohol is one thing, prohibition on the right to bear arms is entirely different.

Agreed. Nor do I care to be on a "Jews Concerned with Hitler" list.

That and the fact that the petitions are useless and anything on whitehouse.gov is nothing more than a tracking system for those who would sign petitions against them.

Personally, I’d like to see the entire administration, and anyone in the House & Senate that refuses to cut spending and balance the budget be be tried for treason by the PEOPLE not judges since they’re corrupt anyway and sentence them to death on live TV. Preferably by AR-15’s with high-capacity magazines >30 rounds.

May as well sell tickets and hold the event in a stadium... See some T-shirt... May as well get some money back the scum stole from us anyway or maybe make a violent video game or movie about it!

Yep, when you come right down to it, this issue is JUSTICE; and the lack of it. I wish a state would break away from the pack and start handing out righteous judgment.

True, but it would never pass the states. I expect Zer0 to go EO in one way or another - we’ll see if the spineless GOPe does anything about it.
