Giving Legal Advice when you are not a Licensed Attorney is a Serious Crime and should be investigated immediately.

It has to be some kind of head fake to distract attention until this story dies out. The privileged class is never accountable for anything.
That is true and we shouldn't be discouraged that that is all we will get out of this and situations like it. Things are not going to change in politics and law until there is a sea change in the minds of 'the people' and this is the kind of thing that will get that ball rolling. The MSM press isn't dead yet but they are a dog whose day is done.
Yes, it is clear. But as long as they are running with this baloney the next step is to demand the name of the ATF agent who overrode the DCPD (illegally, assuming this BS were true) and ‘gave’ permission to Gregory(punk)/NBC to break DC law.

Many years ago I saw a skit on MAD TV. It showed 2 offices. One was DEA the other was AFT. In the DEA office all of the employees were doing dope. The other office was AFT and they were shooting guns wildly into the air, drinking and smoking.
I always think of that skit when I see anything to do with AFT or DEA, more so these days.

Someone please Google “johnson city preacher dc gun” and see how a minister was treated in 2010 for thinking that his CWP was valid in Washington. I am on my phone, and it is very hard to cut and paste links.
The laws are definitely not applied equally in this country. Gregory should be charged, arrested and jailed just like you or I would be if we had done what he did, or like the Tennessee minister.
Maybe a case of splitting microscopic hairs. Perhaps the display is okay, the possession is not.

Let's see:
Article I §8: "Congress shall have the power...To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States..."
So, in plain English, Congress' right to pass laws governing DC is EXCLUSIVE (no other entity can do it) and covers ALL CASES WHATSOEVER (including rifle magazines).
The "law" Gregory violated is no law at all.

The Congress does not excercise “Exclusive” Priori nor sola imprimatur in crafting laws, rules or code for the District of Columbia.
In fact, for the purpose of this discussion, the local council creates “Local Law”. That was granted and delegated some years ago by Congress.
The DC is managed as a Municipality and Gregory broke DC Municipality laws.
