Surely you can imagine a way to avoid paying for NEW security personnel. My local school has had two State Troopers at the school since Newtown. No additional officers were hired to perform this function...resources were simply reallocated. The argument against funding new personnel is a strawman argument. Schools could even approve retirees with CCW to spend one day a week “visiting”, and arm willing staff.

I would think that the most motivated would be parents or teacher/administration. BTW the NRA has a great training program for civilians and cops.
