HOUSTON (AP) — A spokesman says former President George H.W. Bush is in the intensive care unit at a Houston hospital.

Bush's spokesman, Jim McGrath, said late Wednesday that the former president was admitted to the ICU on Sunday at Methodist Hospital, "following a series of setbacks including a persistent fever."

Prayers up!! I never liked the fact that he has been in the hospital for so long, especially someone of his advanced age. The quicker someone his age leaves the hospital the better, the longer he stays there the more prone he is to getting infections from the hospital.

I’ve had a bad feeling for the last week. When you are 88 an in the hospital that long its not good. I hope something happens and he recovers but Fox News says all three sons are there so I’m sure the doctors told them to stick around. Very sad.

I am not a doctor, but if he has bronchitis or pneumonia it is very serious for a man of his age. My father died of pneumonia right before Christmas. The doctor told me that my pop did not have the strength to cough and clear out his lungs. Prayers up.
