HARRY REID: 'It Looks Like' We'll Go Over The Cliff

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said this morning that it "looks like" Congress will fail to come to a deal to avert the year-end fiscal cliff.
"It looks like that's where we're headed," Reid said. "I don't know, time-wise, how it can happen now."
It's not exactly a surprise — leaders left Washington last week without any imminent signs of a deal in the making. But it's a grim warning just days before tax hikes and automatic spending cuts begin to take effect.
Reid opened the Senate session by launching into a lengthy criticism of the House and Speaker John Boehner, saying he "seems to care more about his Speakership" than making a deal on the cliff.
The House is being run "by a dictatorship of the Speaker," Reid said. He accused Boehner of waiting until the election of the Speaker on Jan. 3 to get involved with negotiations.
Reid also slammed the House for not being in session on Thursday. He said that instead of being in Washington, Republicans are "out watching movies."
"They had to have a conference call," he said.
Reid's comments come a day after Boehner put the onus on the Senate on making the next move in fiscal cliff negotiations.

First, the dems have always wanted this so they can raise all taxes and then they will only lower them for lower earners, pretending to deserve credit for something Bush did.
The dems can be such bums because of the media. Oh yes, and because of wooden indian Boehner. And all the other seriously lifeless republicans.
It looks like the dog ate Harry’s and Barry’s homework. It’s all the House’s fault!
We are going EXACTLY where Harry and Barry want us to go.

The cliff will obscure all the other taxes that will be imposed by ZerOcare. The sheeple will grateful for the crumbs that DumBO and the Bolshies give back to them not realizing how they have been fleeced.
That vapid creep Harry deserves to start reaping his own rotten fruits to his corrupted core.
Uhh, Harry, how many bills has the House passed on the 2013 budget which you have refused to allow to be voted on or even debated? Now who is calling who a dictator?

This from the man who cobbled Obamacare together in his office, then replaced the legislation being debated on the floor with the “manager’s amendment” (Obamacare), called for cloture immediately and wouldn’t allow any amendments.
And who refuses to bring a budget to the floor or allow any House bills to be brought to the floor to be amended, only voted down.
The truth is irrelevant if you’re a Democrat.
The “Cliff” that Harry refers to is a misnomer. The renewal of the Bush era tax cuts is something they didn’t want to do in the Democrat Senate, so its still not happening. They didn’t want to agrue and pass a debt ceiling increase, so that is still a slammed door we are going to hit. They don’t want to pass any decrease in spending, in fact they want to spend 50% more, so the sequester slams to defense and other programs will come into play — they planned that all along. They are now going on four years without a complying with the law and passing a budget — an item they don’t even muster a single vote for their party’s President’s version.
Its not a cliff, it is the train wreck they have been planning to create.
