WASHINGTON (AP) -- Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor has denied a request to block part of the federal health care law that requires employee health-care plans to provide insurance coverage for the morning-after pill and similar emergency contraception pills.

Hobby Lobby Stores and a sister company, Mardel Inc., sued the government, claiming the mandate violates the religious beliefs of its owners.

One thing about Sodamachine...her positions are known in advance. No surprises. She is also the least literate member of the Court..so her opinion was written by a clerk just out of law school.

The corrupt Supreme Court has spoken.

So a bunch of people will lose their jobs or be reduced to part time. Or the whole business will go under. Thanks a lot, judge. Your evil will come back to you one day.

She did exactly what Obama told her to do when he put her on the court.
She and Kagan are there specifically to rubber stamp what Obama wants.
The Cobstitution be damned.

So a bunch of people will lose their jobs or be reduced to part time...

If that is Hobby Lobby’s only recourse, so be it. I hope they stick to their religious convictions. If enough Christian businesses do this, changes will be made.

The Romans had the same problem, once their moral decay set in:
These poor women, however, endure the perils of child-birth, and all the troubles of nursing to which their lot condemns them; but how often does a gilded bed contain a woman that is lying in? So great is the skill, so powerful the drugs, of the abortionist, paid to murder mankind within the womb. Rejoice, poor wretch; give her the stuff to drink whatever it be, with your own hand: for were she willing to get big and trouble her womb with bouncing babes, you might perhaps find yourself the father of an Ethiopian; and some day a coloured heir, whom you would rather not meet by daylight, would fill all the places in your will. - Juvenal, Satire VI

One has to recommend that the whole court take it up. Not sure how they decide the cases go to which justice for consideration.

The matter is referred to a single Justice in order to determine whether a temporary injunction may be issued. This would have allowed Hobby Lobby, etal. relief from the mandate while the lawsuit is ongoing.

In this case, the matter was referred to Sotomayer, who predictably followed her atheistic need to overthrow anything good in society. SCOTUS has not yet heard the case.

If we have any real attorneys on FR, they might answer this question better than I have.

I understand your explanation.

Being a natural Conspiracy theorist, I cannot help but believe that this was given to Soda Jerk for a good reason. That reason being that they knew what she would do.

Not that she would ever need the morning after pill.
No one has ever gotten pregnant from spit.
