The Tea Party has not yet begun to fight

If the Tea Party has been weakened by the November election, why are the mainstream media expending so much effort attacking it?

The latest attempt is today’s front-page article by the New York Times, which alleges that the Tea Party is turning to “narrower” issues and suggests, none too subtly, that Congress should stop paying attention to it.

As proof, the Times offers the fact that Republican leaders “have embraced raising tax revenues in budget negotiations, repudiating a central tenet of the Tea Party.” It ignores the fact that Republican leaders could not muster the votes in the House to pass those proposals.

To the great frustration of the mainstream media and the GOP establishment alike, the Tea Party continues to hold the line against tax hikes and new bailouts. It also won a significant victory with the recent passage of right-to-work legislation in Michigan.

These are not “narrower” issues: they are the most fundamental issues concerning the nation’s fiscal health and economic future. It is the Times and the liberal gentry that it serves who cling to narrow, often contrived issues such as the co-called “war on women” to maintain their political clout. The ailing, indebted Times hates the Tea Party precisely because it is serious about economic realities the left would prefer to deny.

The one kernel of truth in recent mainstream reporting on the Tea Party--a truth that Tea Party leaders themselves admit--is that the movement is discouraged by Obama’s win in November.

Mitt Romney was never the Tea Party’s first choice, and some Tea Party supporters may have stayed home on Election Day in protest, but once he secured the Republican Party’s nomination most Tea Party activists worked hard to help him win.

Michael Patrick Leahy of Breitbart News has argued that if not...

News-break, taxes go up automatically.

Obama and Dems are working overtime to make sure Rs get the blame.

If they don't even know that then they are sure to lose, again. just like the Budget Control Act.

Delusion is no strategy.

QUESTION - Why are the mainstream media expending so much effort attacking the Tea Party?

ANSWER - The powers-that-be, within the Commie world, are expecting that when they get into power that the lower classes will rise up in one huge chaotic mass, thereby pushing the Marxist Workers Paradise into fruition. It won't work if an opposing group gets active.

The Tea Party is going to cramp their style. Bigtime.

raising tax rates during a down economy is a bad idea - something that the Tea Party understands and Democrats don’t. Go Tea Party - just don’t talk about abortion and rape, ok?

What should have happened and I’m surprised it didn’t was another massive Tea Party Rally in DC in late October to draw more attention to the socialists takeover.

Granted Tea Party supporters work for a living and can’t run to the streets any time they want but I’d have taken some leave to make that happen.

One further important note: If they are not called on this (prevented) from this next heightened debt move or theft move, then get ready for the leverage they’ve been waiting for all along in 2014, Extortion-Care, as a means of collateral transformation.

In other words, securing the U.S. bond market by means of Extortion-Care, escalating on everyone elses backs but the Exempt Ones, that convienently exempted themselves out of the bill.

The Tea Party has been organizing since early 2009 or perhaps in 2008. If they haven’t begun to fight then for heavens sake what are they in God’s name waiting on??!! Reality check: In my opinion the author is engaging in wishful thinking. The simple fact is we are outnumbered. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It is not 1980 anymore. Demographics.......demographics........DEMOGRAPHICS!!!

We are a very divided country, not outnumbered.

Tea Party fell asleep and lost their way delving into issues other than what they began for. The brand of Tea Party has been harmed.

It should get back out and be activist, but under a new name and with a more serious activist role.

I agree. However, Obama is trying everything he can in order to import more numbers of immigrants predisposed to vote a more socialized agenda. They have done away with “support declarations” “vows to not go on public assistance”, etc.

They, the government, pundits and media, and left-wing organizations have been in a continual campaign to target conservatives and marginalize them as nuts, yet seek their “compromise” when their votes in Congress are needed.

We are rapidly approaching the time when a lot of conservatives have tuned out their “reason and compromise” and will turn to other means of redress.

According to the alternate, truthful media, the Tea Party has them surrounded...

I think, the reason for no massive Tea Party Rally in DC in October was - they think they will win the election, and they are busy trying to win election, forgetting there are rampant voter fraud.

Now there is a call for massive anti-obama rally (on inauguration day), but where is the enthusiasm?

It looks hopeless now that obzoz has stolen another election - he is in power controlling all levels of gov - no one dares to fight him, not on eligibility issue, not on declaring war without congress, not on using unconstitutional agencies to regulate everything, not on the Benghazi Americans-murdering scandal, not on signing international treaties without congress approval......

The idiot Americans put the usurper there and we are stick with the destruction. But fight we must, at least to slow the destruction until such time we can right the wrong.

Top priority is to work to reduce/eliminate voter fraud.

Weakened???? I’m afraid the Tea Party is dead. I went to both D.C. rallies and then it died. Sure, a few small parties break out here and there, but for the most part, it’s dead.

And I blame Glenn Beck for scheduling his ‘Restoring Honor’ Rally so close to the Tea Party demonstration date.
Unfortunately, if someone was to reorganize the D.C. demonstration, it will now look like sour grapes. Plus, Boehner will probably accuse someone of spitting on him. I like Beck, but I believe he screwed the Tea Party.

It’s time for Atlas to shrug. Let the system collapse. Maybe our kids can rebuild the U.S.

Which should begin NOW!

Not two weeks before the next election.

>>How about we quit trying to negotiate with communists and DEMAND limited government!<<

We’ve already lost this battle.

The Tea Party was absolutely duped into melding into the republican brand sham.

I had high hopes early on that the Tea Party would be just that....a new party. Made up of conservatives, libertarians, and blue dogs with it’s main party platform of limited government, restoration of liberties and a rebuilding of the greatness of America and the American middle class.

Didn’t happen. Not sure where to go from here.
