Can low-information voters be reached?
WND ^ | December 26, 2012 | Robert Ringer

Exclusive: Robert Ringer seeks ways to get through to the redistribution-minded

While driving into D.C. last week, I was listening to Rush Limbaugh expound on an important issue that I don’t believe many pro-liberty people give much thought to. He said that “low-information” voters present a serious problem because there is no way to reach people who are uninformed. Worse, most of these people don’t like conservatives or libertarians.

No doubt about it, Rush has zeroed in on the crux of the problem when it comes to the decline and fall of the American Empire. How in the world do you reach people who not only are devoid of knowledge, but, in addition, don’t like the very people who have the information they so desperately need?

Worse, low-information voters are attracted to slogans, catchwords and fact-free propaganda – the more outrageous, the better. They are drawn to gobbledygook like “pay your fair share,” “social justice” and “shared prosperity” because such nonsense requires no thinking and thus is easily digested by the brain.

We’ve all seen the random street interviews with people who have no clue about the national debt, Benghazi-gate, Obamacare, or even the difference between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. These hollowheads know nothing about Barack Obama’s radical socialist past or that he has never been vetted by the media. They know only that he has a great smile, tells them he will make the rich pony up a still larger share of their ill-gotten gains and promises to give them evermore free stuff.

In his newest book, Robert Ringer goes to bat for the most maligned and beleaguered individuals in America. Don’t miss “The Entrepreneur: The Way Back for the U.S. Economy”ronic toys.

I’d much rather take away their vote, myself.

They’ve already been “reached”. They don’t want to be “reached” again. Too busy buying shiny objects, eating loads of fast food and staring at X-box..

zombie voters.

they wander the streets killing and taking, they moan “freebieeeees”, and only vote for the politician who gives them freebies.

Politicians sell ups a “decrease in the increase” as a cut.

An Iranian or North Korean based ICBM might do it.

Sure their is. Open your mouth and tell them what you want them to hear.

Plenty of places like oh...I dunno....THE INTERNET that the MSM can’t completely filter and that most of the LIVs spend all their time on anyway.

But not a one, Palin excepted, does it with any intent or consistency.

I had a part-time job as a Gallup pollster back in the late 1980’s in rural Kansas. About 5% of the people I interviewed DID NOT KNOW WHO THE PRESIDENT WAS! This was in Reagan’s 7th year in office.

Neither do we. Personally I think it’s Jarret.

Rather than calling them Low Information Voters, I prefer Low Information Electors. The acronym—LIE—better explains how they can, and have been reached.

While a certain percent of these “low information” voters are unreachable, e.g. the Obama phone lady, others will take notice when their taxes go up significantly, they can’t see the doctor they want, EPA regulators ban their SUV’s, BBQ grills and wood burning fireplaces and the cost of electricity and gasoline become almost unaffordable. At that point maybe a Ronald Reagan like GOP candidate can convincingly ask are you better off? However no squishy RINO candidate will be able to pull that off.

We are in the bread(EBT) and circuses(NFL) phase of the downfall.

Yes. Have them pay taxes too.

Hello fiscal cliff and hello to all wanting to lower the cost of government.

Can low-information voters be reached?

Yes, but only after spending at least four years in the Gulag or collective farm.

The bread and circuses phase of the decline and fall of the Romans was a long time. I doubt with fiat currency and nuclear weapons we will have that long to “party” like it’s 99 AD.

This is a pipe dream... these people will riot like the people in Greece when things do not go their way...they are not interested in financial or personal discipline no matter the cost

we all crave happiness..but many people have forgotten the way to get there. hard work...charity and love of neighbor ( and yes even the low information voter) and fear and love of the Lord...live by example

before we can reach the low information voter we must first make sure all is right with our house

True.

I’ve said it before but I wish I could come back in 500 years just to read the history books on this era. Just to be proven right.

This assumes there are actual literal humans surviving to write them.. And that is far from certain.
