“The American people are watching what we do here. Obviously, their patience is already thin. It’s déjà vu all over again,” Obama added. “The American people are not going to have any patience for a politically self inflicted wound to our economy.”

“The American people are not going to have any patience for a politically self inflicted wound to our economy.”

Says Obama as he hammers a stake through it’s chest.

We KNOW who to blame, jackass.

This is the same thing the media and democrats did to the first Bush “read my lips no new taxes” . The media put pressure on Bush as the media are doing now on Republicans to cave and the democrats promise spending cuts in the future but the democrats didn't live up to their end of the deal the first time and won't this time. Republicans have to see this is the same tactic they used that time and recall what happened to Bush , he got defeated in that election.

Modest and Obama can’t be used in the same sentence.

There are NO words that can honestly be used with ‘obama’ in the same sentence without being banned.

Yes, we do. Unfortunately, the Dims own the media and the "Republican Blame Game" will continue at full speed.

Obama looked shaken and desperate and kept pushing for an up or down vote on his class warfare GOP killing tax increase bill if all else fails...

...I'm sanguine that the TEA Party caucus in the House will stand firm and force Obama to keep the Bush tax cuts for EVERYBODY!

Boehner was said to be “noncommittal” over the RINO/Obama deals.
He had better be cuz he ain't got no conservative support and he, McConnel,Reid, Pelosi and Obama know it.

The Left will lose this one cuz the prez ALWAYS gets the blame for the country goin’ to hell—in spite of the lyin’ MSM.

It would be the first time he was modest about anything.

Yes, we are watching, except we’re watching our economy tank in the face of government confiscation of our money...and our paychecks. And we are very impatiently waiting to go back to work, once we can get a government that doesn’t act like the Mad Hatter at a counterfeiting dollar conference. Since we are going to be obligated to wait another four years for it before we can undo the krap the current administration and Marxists in Congress have made, in your arrogance, you will expect us just to go along to get along. We don’t expect you to understand why President Bush even, has a higher approval rating than you do among sane people.

.
The American people love to inflict wounds on themselves — a mortal one was administered on November 6, 2012.

This is NOT the way Obama wanted the fiscal-cliff dispute to end. Stalemates on critical issues do not enhance presidential legacies.

Obama came rushing back from his vacation to save the day...but he didn’t.

The problem was that Obama misunderestimated the Republican House members. He knew he could get John Boehner to cave on taxes, which he did by proposing his Plan B, but the majority of House Republicans rejected it.

Now John Boehner can go before the country on Sunday and promise that the House will begin the new year by voting to reinstate the tax increases that President Incompetent allowed to go over the cliff.

You nailed it. It’s a trite joke that you can tell “x” is lying because his lips are moving. With Obama, you can discern the truth as the opposite of his shameless pronouncements, as the posted quote illustrates.

The American people are not watching closely what “we” do here (I’d be shocked if twenty percent could explain it at a sixth grade level). The “American people” have rarely missed a chance to politically self-inflict wounds to the economy (starting with T. Roosevelt and with increasing fury since Lyndon Johnson).

Politicians have always lied tactically. I think Obama gets off by getting away with this and literally laughing in the public’s face.

BREAKING NEWS!

From the major US media.

“His Excellency President for Life, Field Marshall Al Hadji Dr. Buraq Hussein Obama, VC, DSO, MC, King of Washington DC, Lord of all the Beast of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea and Conqueror of the American Empire in General and Kenya in Particular has declared that he is moderately optimistic about a deal!”

Can someone add a picture of Obama with one of those big hats with a big over sized eagle, a sash and big medals? He is after all “Commander of Chiefs” and in charge of all those “Corpse men.”

I made a mistake, sorry.

I can’t believe that you would think that he made a mistake. We just don’t understand his nuance meaning in this context! From here on out we should all refer to it as “modestly optimistic.”
