What Will It Take For You To Believe?
The Ignorant Fishermen.com ^ | 12/24/12 | DJP I.F.

My fellow American conservatives and those of you of the moderate conservative persuasion... May I ask you this simple question.... How "blazes" do you do it? How do you keep your sanity when everything is going off the cliff at EXPONENTIAL rates and there are absolutely NO human answers and applicable remedies in sight?.

Well... we know that you "DON'T" do it and that you are totally consumed with fear, worry and pessimism. I read it every day on your faces at work, at family gatherings, on Free Republic, on the news and media outlets etc... You are scared to death and there is no where to hide your pessimism. Your hope balloon has popped in your face and you are left with ringing ears and consumed with fear for what is at hand. Oh My dear friends, America's demise is just the tip of the HORRIFIC godless iceberg that we see in front of us (Rev. 6-19). Will you now FINALLY wake up to the Divine realities and the prophetic warnings which are found in Almighty God's INFALLIBLE Word? It is sad to say... but no you will not wake up and you will continue down your delusion until that Day over takes you. I have seen it time and time again and it is VERY VERY rare that an individual will truly repent and turn to Almighty God in spirit and truth (John 4:24). The Bible is absolutely full of countless examples and in just my little life I can testify to the validity of the Bible's examples.

May I ask you this simple question... How "blazes" do you do it? How do you keep your sanity when every thing is going off the cliff at EXPONENTIAL rates and there are NO answers and applicable remedies in sight?

.

For five years (since 2008), we here at the IFB have been sounding forth political commentary with a biblical perceptive with the end result that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! We have pointed out countless in-depth posts and analysis of our nation's absolute fractured estate, decadence, lawlessness, secularism, sex addiction, abortion, narcissism, drug addiction, socialism ideals, delusional solutions, hypocritical remedies and godless estate. It was in 2006 when the Marxist Progressives won the House and Senate after a socialistic GWB sold out conservatism and our Founding Fathers that we knew it was over and we as a nation finally crossed the tipping point. It was from then on that we began to Preach to all Americans and to the world that the Day of the Lord is at hand (Rev. 6-190! With the 2008 election victory of Barack H.Obama, America's first hard core Marxist president proved our point was proved even further and in light of all the Tea Parties, rallies, conservative optimism and energy the Left has only gotten stronger. Oh how I hate to state that reality but my dear friends stand back and look and is it not so. Then when all the evidence of Obama's disastrous four year dealing with our economy, morality and global relationships didn't matter a hill of beans to the American people after four years of this man's socialistic Marxist tyranny and we as a nation reelected this Marxist for a second term... well you might have to come to the conclusion that the jig is up by now... and it surely is. But yet clueless conservative "optimistic" scoffers abound (2 Peter 3:3) and conservative "optimistic" haters love to call us (IFB) quitters, sellouts, bigots, religious zealots, traders and allies of the Lefts agenda, Bible thumpers and my personal favorite, "ignorant". The majority of these comments come from conservatives from the largest Conservative political website forum in America, Free Republic. For the past 5 years we have been feeling the spiritual temperature there and have found that moral relativism, Biblical ignorance, conservative optimism and Christian ecumenicism dominate the forum. Thank God for Free Republic, they mean well and are a great group of people who truly love America as I do but that is not enough to aid us in our hour. Thank God that there is some God fearing, Bible believing, evangelical presence there who help point America's conservatives to the REALITY of our hour and Almighty God's Biblical perspective, but even these are usually scoffed at and laughed to scorn by American conservatives who are without a saving relationship to Jesus Christ the Messiah of Israel (Isa. 53, Matt. 7:21-32, Rom. 10:2-4). Tragically the dominate spirit there is one of unbelief, conservative optimism, spiritual delusion and ETERNAL blindness (Rom. 10:2-4). The temperature and climate of American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message is dead and ice cold and that was a heart breaking reality that God the Father has had to show me and with tears in my eyes I wish I could change it but I cannot choose for an individual to receive the Savior.

The temperature and climate of American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message is dead and ice cold and that was a heart breaking reality that God the Father has had to show me.

My dear friends, Oh how we need Divine REALITY today and not delusion and worldly solutions for our EXPONENTIAL global crises. Almighty God cries out to you all day long but will YOU receive Him and His ETERNAL solutions for your life? That is the dire question ALL must ask themselves in these last days. All these current events and crises of our global community are self induced by the lawless and godless works of fallen man (Rom. 1:18-32, Gal. 6:7). These products of evil men and their consequences are left in place to bring us to the brink of our delusions so that we may come out of our subjective selves and show us our desperate need tor the Savior, His pardon, and His RIGHTEOUSNESS.

My dear friends, WHAT WILL YOU DO? Will you continue to look for worldly solutions and human saviors or will you finally come to the end of yourself and receive the KING of kings and LORD of lords who is the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR and PRINCE of PEACE (Isa. 9:6-7, Rev. 19:11-16). All ETERNITY is before us and our brief existence in this fallen world is about gone. See the ETERNAL, see the Savior, see the REALITY and you will find the liberation and peace of Almighty God that will calm your hearts in America's last hours.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved!" (Acts 16:29)!

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

America is at the alamo and we do not know how much time we have before the corruption and economic instability of DC tax and spend politicians will break Americas back and destroy our once great Christian influenced nation. I am not aware of any nation who legalized abortion and homosexualty and adultery who have survived too long before God judges their evil ways and brings the nation to a piece of bread at best. And America has gone the way of Sodom and Gomorah and mock at God and His Christ and His holy and just ways. God is not mocked as most Americans think. Blessed it the nation whose God is the Lord, but sin is a reproach to any people.

No. Most of the evangelicals I come in contact with remain cheerful and are optimistic about their family and communities future, and quite frankly most don't consider politics that urgent in the grand scheme of things. It is the less religious, more political conservative types that seem the most depressed.

Also that entire article seems to be a big whine that people on FR aren't religious enough in your opinion. God is central to most people on this forum whether you approve of their level of belief or not, but it's a political forum and most posts aren't going to be about scripture.

But, it is my small opinion that the government to come will not be liberal in any sense of the word. Liberalism is just a means to the authoritarianism that will rule.

What Will It Take For You To Believe?

It will take the work of the Holy Spirit to do the work of regeneration in your heart and the gift of faith from God in order for anyone to believe.

The natural man is incapable of exercising saving faith apart from the work of God.

We (Christians), on the other hand, must pray that God will bring to salvation all those whom He has determined to save. Further, we must continue to be faithful to preach the message of "Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand."

As believers we live with one foot in the here and now and the other in the Kingdom...it’s a delicate balance. In this world but not of it is another way it is explained.
Peace to those who believe and glad I have my faith on the solid Rock of the Lord.
Cause it’s going to be a bumpy road for the world.

Yea,doc. And the Holy Bible latter day prophesies are coming to pass such as Israel back in the land, an explosion of knowledge, homosexual and evil behaviors being acceptable, new diseases, distress of nations with perplexity, the seas and the waves roaring, the nation of Israel being hated by the world (who will send armies at the end of the coming 7 year tribulation),mass drug addiction being acceptable, fools calling good evil and evil good, etc. It seems that we are living in the violence filled days that preexisted the flood, the days of Noah, when God repented in His heart that He had made mankind and would have destroyed all of us but for the grace He showed Noah.

Perhaps they will refer to the future as the war of east coast/left coast aggression as was remarked about the war of nothern agression nearly a century and a half ago.

Upside down and backwards is your opinion. The religious Christians generally have not accepted the fact that America will be a lesser nation and of little influence when God sends the anti christ, aka the beast, to begin the tribulation the religious do not believe will happen at all.Israel will be a pariah nation and He will defend it from all their enemies during the 7 years of tribulation after the rapture of the body of Christ, the true church.

Prophecy teaches of Christ's second advent and 1000 year millennial rule and yet so many avowed Christians do not read the prophets of the Scriptures and believe that Israel is replaced by the church. These are religious people much as the pharisees were.

I have been having conversations with many Christians,Jews (and others) and I have got them all to start thinking of God no longer as “HE” for many reasons.

The main reason is that most original refer to God - “Almighty”, “Heavenly” but only recent document use the word “He”.

I personally agree that God is NOT a “HE”, nor a “SHE”, but simply as “GOD”.

God is Great, God is Good,,,,,.... (Remember that child hood prayer) - it never says “He”.

Your comments welcome.......!

It seems that we are living in the violence filled days that preexisted the flood...

A lot of people in every generation preach to others that we are in the end days, and they've all been wrong so far - just as you are likely wrong as well.

distress of nations with perplexity, the seas and the waves roaring,

There are always distressed nations, but things like world hunger are actually down. Many things are improving. As to the seas, I don't know of anything unusual or wrong with them.

Perhaps you need to read the Scriptures beginning at Genesis and believe God and not foolish religions and cults. Such thing as yours prove the church age is coming to and end as more foolish lies are taught as religious dogma that are totally unscriptural.

This is one of the current modern mysteries that I simply cannot understand.

In the effort to try and understand a mystery that may not yet have an answer, there is a default tendency to simply blame Christians for “not being godly enough” or for doing this or that “wrong” or “not committed enough”. I think there are a lot of people who are genuinely committed to the cause of Christ and who are committed Christ followers.

On some level the Holy Spirit has to lead people via His Spirit and, frankly, I have not seen evidence of this, or at least to any significant degree.

I can only hazard a spiritual guess that the Lord is using this time to bring souls to Himself in places other than the West. It appears that remedying the plagues we have collectively brought upon ourselves is not of importance to the Lord.

I find great solace in Psalm 37 where these things will continue - and decline - but on balance we will be spared. Not that we won’t be impacted, but those who hold fast will make it through.

My flesh wants to make a stand. I’m not sure that’s in the Lord’s plans as he seemingly has not laid that on the hearts of others or has raised up leaders.

On one hand, I feel like I’m flailing about and not being useful. On the other hand, I am open and listening to hear and do what the Lord commands.

The bottom line to me seems to be that whatever actions are necessary must come from the urging of His Holy Spirit. This may yet come, but I do not yet see it. To blanketly blame believers for not being committed enough is simplistic and, in my opinion, not wholly accurate.

There are many who long for the leading and moving of the Holy Spirit. It is up to the Lord to prompt the hearts of men unto action.

kindred, you have no idea at all when the end times will be. None. That time could be thousands of years distant. You have no more idea when the end will be than frauds like Harold Camping - and you shouldn’t be suggesting that you do.

Human history is littered with times of great upheaval, world war, etc. This country has even had, arguable, a far more socialistic President than we do now - and FDR was elected four times and fundamentally changed this country more than Obama will probably ever do.

So your original post mostly seemed to just be one big complaint that FR wasn’t religious enough, and now you’ve gone on to claim the end is near when most reasonable people know you haven’t got a clue.

II Peter

3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Biblical prophecy teaches of the consolation of Christ and it may or may not be the last generation before the return of Christ. Yet, Israel being back in the land for the 2nd time as God has done warns us that it may be the last generation before the coming of Christ, the lamb of God, as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Titus 2:2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Another related illusion is the idea that the USA is the whole world — and seeing it fail equates to the whole-world crisis foretold in prophecy. No it isn’t; and it likely doesn’t. Christianity is a whole-world thing. Great nations rise and they fall; that’s boringly normal.

I acknowledge that it is possible that the time is near. But no one knows the day or hour...

I believe there are indications in the Bible that the whole world must be exposed to the Gospel before it happens. I do not know that this has happened yet.

Fretting about it won’t serve any purpose. It may well be that the Lord has plans for this Earth before He returns.

I will continue to live my life. If it all ends tomorrow, I’ll see you in Heaven.

Some bible translation ministries are guesstimating that it will need only a few more decades until there is a bible in every still living language on earth; then such preaching will be possible. Progress has been greatly accelerated (not too long ago this task was projected at over a hundred years) by the advent of powerful computer software that takes the place of the old boxes of index cards, and which can generate draft translations very quickly for human review and refinement. Translations in similar languages also help the computer make better guesses about how to handle translations in new languages.

Kindred, I agree with much of what you have said. America, Israel’s friend, has turned against it in its time of need, under Bath-House. Scripture says Israel will stand alone in the End Times.

I believe the End Times are at hand, as the generation of the fig tree, spoken of in Scripture, starts at the birth of Israel as a nation in the year 1948.

The “famine” in the End Times is supposedly not for food, but for the Word of God, and that is certainly true—churches do NOT teach about the Kenites, do they?

But, if you believe in the Rapture, I have a problem, as we as Christians will NOT be “flown away”...who helps fight the anti-christ? Who will support the two witnesses?

But, I agree-—too many “happenings” at this time as was foretold many, MANY years ago in prophecy—the immense information flow (internet), the “swarm” in the ME, the earthquakes in diverse places, Israel standing alone, even Ezekiel’s description of the “wheels”.

May God bless us and protect us, even as America seemingly turns away.

Jesus said “my Father which art in heaven”, “my Father and I are one”. Notice it didn’t say “mother” or “it”? Pretty much settles if for me.

“And how do you think the world will fare...you will fare once the US is no more?”
_____________________________________________________

Well, even if the USA turns into the USSA, as in the old Soviet Union, I will certainly miss my social security, but I live in a constant climate, in the vegetable capital of my island, and I have fish, fowl, and pork readily available.
I will survive my final years.
I know that I will be far better off then those left in America, particularly those in the northern half of the country, and those that would have no clue as to what to do if the supermarkets and Walmart no longer exist.
The vast majority of Americans are totally unprepared for ANYTHING that upsets their daily routine.
Keep in mind, I am not predicting this, but America and other countries of the west are in deep doo-doo, and it will never again be the country or culture that I grew up in.

International living has taught me many things.
I have lived in former Communist countries of Europe, visited a number of others, and now my final destination in the tropical Pacific.
I have a new life with a wife and our almost two year old boy, who, by the way, already knows how to start his own laptop and bring up his U-tube kiddie songs.

Those on this thread that have been castigating me and my choice of life had better start evaluating their own lives in the Obamination.
There is very little hope that it will get better there within most lifetimes, and it will likely get worse.
As other Expats see it, I am not alone in my views.
My newest neighbor is a wealthy man from Cape Cod.
He has many of the same views.

“What Will It Take For You To Believe?”

When the majority of citizens react to eliminate Agenda 21 that has permeated our universities and city planning boards.

When our elected representatives expose and fight to end the corruption and greed that runs rampant in our government.

When our government ends the Fed and exposes and drives out all of the (money changers) local and international central bankers...

When the group that sits on the board of our major media outlets are exposed and driven out.

When God is welcomed back in our schools and in our government offices and in our legislation...

Did the “Original” writing say “Father”?
I do not think so. It was written in Greek and “Father” in Greek has at least 3 (and I understand as many as 5) distinct different meanings.
1. The progenitor of said individual
2. The male who took care and “helped” raise or educate said child.
3. A respected elderly male who may or may not have been related.
4. A member of the clergy or scholastic teacher
5. Anybody to whom one would want to show respect for.

The Jewish tradition is that the mother was always subordinate to any male (not so much in modern time) and the male was the “Generator” of children whilst a woman was merely the vessel that the child was nurtured in until such time as he was born unto his father (by his vessel - his mother).

That is tradition through many cultures.

Gods were portrayed as both male and female but many writings indicated that universal Gods that held reign over the world were never given a sex even though they were often as not thought to be male.

Many religious leaders refused to identify the sex because they felt that doing so was wrong. They did not know specifically if a god of the “Universe” / “Heavens” could be anything more than an entity and therefor a sex could not be applied.

Recent philosophers have considered any Universal God could not be a male or female because the “Universe” as we know know it, could not be a sexual individual but rather an entity.

Even early Jewish writers refrained from using the term which specified God as any sex.

REMEMBER THIS - Your Translation was probably done close to 800 to 1500 years after the fact and meanings and definition were very loosely applied to many facts which have since been rethought and redefined.

In addition, Jesus NEVER wrote ANYTHING that was ever published. It was only through others that “interpreted” and recalled his words as long as 2 plus decades after Jesus’s death that his words have been handed down and translated from language to language to language - all with different visions of what was meant and how to properly translate certain words (such as “Father”).

I have good reason.

1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. >>Did the “Original” writing say “Father”?<<

Well, let’s look at Matthew 6:9 and see what that says.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

The Greek word use there is patḗr and it’s a masculine noun.

Then let’s look at John 10:30 “I and my Father are one”. Again the word used is patḗr and it’s still a masculine noun.

>> REMEMBER THIS - Your Translation was probably done close to 800 to 1500 years after the fact and meanings and definition were very loosely applied to many facts which have since been rethought and redefined.<<

Find an earlier manuscript where a different word was used and we can talk. Otherwise stop the nonsense at least with me. I ain’t buyin your genderless liberalism.
