According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), Obamacare’s twenty new or higher taxes amount to a net $1 trillion over the next decade, 2013-2022.
These tax increases are already permanent law due to Obamacare. They include the medical device tax, the surtax on investment income, the individual and employer mandate non-compliance penalty tax, the medical itemized deduction “haircut,” the hike in the Medicare payroll tax rate, and others. These tax increases total exactly $1 trillion over the next ten years:

This is going to kill private sector hiring and eventually the private sector all together, but that’s the Regime’s goal. Government will increase it’s payroll and it’s pay raises.. The Socialists (Democrats) will stay in power permanently. All opposition parties are finished, and that includes the Republicans.
I agree... but actually we the people, ordinary citizens, etc., will go over the cliff. The ruling elitists on the other hand (mostly demoRATs but also Repub elitists), and especially the RAT bastard commmie pig 0dumb0, will all be protected & insulated from any personal fallout or danger or financial hardship, just like Mugabe in Zimbabwe with million percent inflation, and yet he is a billionaire from U.S. aid. The US went over the cliff when federal debt reached 100% of GDP. The only real question is if the landing will be hard or soft.
What libs don’t want to talk about is that these Obamacare taxes are going to bite whether or not we go over the fiscal cliff - they act as though the economy will be fine if we avoid the fall - but in fact it will suffer greatly once those taxes go into effect......

a) The Obamacare Cliff
b) The ObamaTax Cliff
c) The ObamaStimulus Cliff (end of false stimulus spending)
d) The ObamaSpending Cliff (more new irresponsible spending starting in 2013)
This should get out in the media. Call it like it is and don’t let the liberal media soft-pedal it as some faceless “fiscal cliff” that carries no blame.

The medical device tax is killing my business. Three clients canceled contracts. One of them will be out of business in 6 months.
You missed the point.
Why do you think Obama refuses to make a deal on the fiscal cliff and keeps moving the goalposts?
He needs this "crisis" to hide the tax increases contained in Obamacare. This entire charade is designed to muddy the waters so much that by the time a deal is made, Obama can take no blame for the specific taxes that went up as some will be from Obamacare and some will be from the "deal".
Now that the bill is passed and we can see what’s in it, there is a real job killer in the medical devices tax. A 2.3% excise tax will be levied on the total revenues of a company, regardless of the amount of profit a company generates or whether a company generates a profit at all, starting in 2013. Many young or start up companies will owe more in taxes than they generate from their operations. The result will be devastating to innovation, patient care and job creation.
How does this kill jobs? The 2.3% tax is on gross revenues. To maintain profit levels, or simply break even, the company will have to raise prices (by more than 2.3% because the tax is on the gross) or cut expenses. Cutting expenses eventually means cutting people, either directly in the company or indirectly.
The people who crafted this tax rationalized that with more people covered by 0bamacare, companies will make more money. The experience with Romneycare proved otherwise. New research shows that despite providing near-universal health care coverage in the state of Massachusetts, the overwhelming percentage of medical device companies saw no increases in utilization, and in turn profits. This debunks the argument for supporters of the 2.3 % medical device excise tax.
This is also killing my business – three clients cancelled projects, citing the costs from 0bamacare.
First, I was working for a sensor company whose customer base was heavily dependent on medical device companies.
I spoke with many medical device companies and they were all telling me where this was heading.
You are correct, but it gets worse.
In order to control costs, the IPAB will stop the approval of new medical devices utilizing the latest technology. At that point, medical device companies will have to milk existing systems for additional profit.
Once they cut costs, the next logical step is to outsource production to low-wage nations.
The result: a loss of US jobs and no new medical devices that will prolong lifespans.
Medical device companies will be targeted by liberals for trying to raise prices (greed) and they will be targeted for exporting jobs.
This will set the stage for nationalization of these, and other, companies.
Remember, Obamacare is just the start of taking over as much of the economy as possible. Insurance companies will fall first, followed by hospitals and clinics.
Healthcare workers (doctors, nurses) will be unionized under SEIU to ensure a permanent voting block. (imagine a conservative proposing cuts when millions depend on those jobs?)

Was watching COPS last night.
All those officers had to put on a pair of blue gloves to search a lack guy who had drugs hidden in his butt crack/anus area.
It dawned on me that EVERY municipality which has sheriff, police, EMT’s, etc, are all using a product by the barrelfull that is now subject to that 3.8% tax.
All the various districts around me are operating with many layoffs, and now they will have to pay lots more with the 3.8% tax on ‘medical devices’.
And it is not just ptoduction jobs. A buddy is outsourcing much of his accounting practice to India. He is doing it specifically to avoid 0bamacare costs
I’m over 60 and I don’t remember there ever being much of an opposition party.
Suggestion- Go to your local ham radio shop and purchase a new or used short wave radio. While you are at it, get a frequency list or have the shop owner give you some hints about finding stations. Especially interesting are Radio Canada, Radio Moscow, Radio Cuba, Voice of America, and dozens of others.
Many/most of these radios operate on 12VDC and require minimal antennat (a 40-100’ wire will unlock the world of SWL. (short wave listening) There are also numerous sites on Internet with info on listening, antennas, and stations/frequencies.
