The main driving force in the movement has been a hatred of President Obama, a virulent hatred indeed. Now that the president has been resoundingly given another four years, the tea partys leaders need new objects of scorn.
And theres the rub. Movements built on antagonism toward one individual tend to be short-lived, and when that individual triumphs despite loud opponents, its frustrating for the losers.
But if the partys over, the hangover remains. No place may have a bigger headache than North Carolina. The tea partys push helped Republicans win control of the General Assembly, led to a contorted redistricting that locked in that control and left the states leadership in the thrall of radical ideas about taxation, public education, womens and gay rights, environmental regulation and the role of government itself.
While the tea party has lost steam nationally, its adherents remain active in North Carolina. Mark Hager, state coordinator for the 86 local groups associated with the Tea Party Patriots, said three new groups have joined since the election. He said Obamas re-election was somewhat distressing, but he said Republican victories in North Carolina have made the state a pretty good model of the tea partys approach to government.

They don’t write this way about al Queda. :(
ROTFL! "Resoundingly?"
There was no RESOUNDING victory for Hussein!!! He wan in a squeaker with heavy doses of fraud and with the help of a compliant media. The low information voters came out for their free stuff, and the taxpayer is about to get soaked.
>>The low information voters came out for their free stuff, and the taxpayer is about to get soaked. <<
If there is a God, those same low information voters are about to meet the reality that elections have consequences.
Most of us can take the hits (and wince) of obozocare and the rest of the oboma claus costs — it could (and hopefully will) cause real pain for most his voters. The more agony for them the better.
See my tagline
Yes I do hate President Obama. He represents a new episode in US History, his is the first “Vengeful Presidency.”
I started detesting Obama in 2007 when he advised Rial Odinga to turn the Orange Party into the streets and countryside , initiating tribal genocide in which 7000 Kenyans died. Obama has pursued his course unwaveringly with tens of thousands of deaths in Libya, Egypt and Syria. Wherever the POSHITUS goes, thousands die, he is a walking corpse creator. He even kills his own people with impunity like he did in Benghazi and in Operation Fast and Furious. He commits acts of war by executive order without any declaration from Congress, as he has done in Mexico and Libya.
And now in his final term Obama will bring such death home to America.
America will grow to hate Obama as sure as each one of us lives and breathes. Some of us can see a little further ahead than the rest of us, as seen in the article referenced below.

Sorry DC, but a vote of no confidence is coming, and you have no where to hide.
...this is an opportunity, an awful opportunity to be sure but one we must pursue unless we all want to grab our guns groceries and gold, run to Texas and rebel against the third American tyranny.
None of my state's (SC) GOP congressional delegation has or ever will vote for ANY tax increases on ANYBODY cuz we won't let them!
Can you say the same?
The moron who wrote this piece of excrement has a different definition of resounding than I do. Her definition of "resounding" is my definition of squeaking by.
Another blatant lie in an article full of them. Seriously is this a news article or an editorial? With the MSM it's tough to tell at times.
0bmacare may be popular among the freeloaders, especially since the sh#t sandwich hasn't really kicked in yet. Now all we see is the kids on their parents plans till 27, the free birth control & free abortions. Take a look at next years premiums and the host of new taxes coming. Wonder why this all comes in AFTER the election? Even the most liberal economists are predicting a return to a recession. As far as I can tell we haven't left recession since '08.
What a crock of a story.
Obamacare passed because the democrats held all three branches of
Government. The Tea Party corrected part of that by regaining the house
in 2010.
If the Tea Party has fallen so much, why do the MSM keep talking
and writing about the Tea Party.
In 2014 another wave will hit the house. Any GOP who votes for this
coming Tax Increase could be primaried out of office.
Of course they never hated Bush. No, never.

*sigh*
He must be talking about me. I despise the sob and everything he stands for.
Reading the comments lends one to believe that it is merely a "me too" bit for the O-bots. They will defend their Fearless Reader to the last drop of everyone else's tax money and freedoms.
.
50.9 per cent of the popular vote is not “resoundingly.”
I wonder how much of that “50.9 per cent” were fraudulent votes?
Savings??? The cost of my insurance has almost doubled since they passes that atrocious law.
