New York Times columnist David Brooks made an astonishing observation about President Obama on NBC's Meet the Press Sunday.
"Sometimes he governs like a visitor from a morally superior civilization" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
I have no doubt that is exactly how he sees himself.

OTH, David Brooks always talks like he sits on his head while talking.
He was definitely cut from the same cloth as Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin and Mao Tse Tung.
Surely he meant that as an insult

Obama is arrogant, but not from a sense of moral superiority. He thinks that he’s trickier, more clever, than us hick Marks. We are just people to be robbed. I could even grudgingly respect him if he was a true communist. He’s just a con man, a thief, a pickpocket. He’s a shill to distract people while The Grifter takes their money.
They want that power to rid themselves of us so badly.
They are salivating over it.
There is nothing morally superior about a dope chooming adolescent who spent his formative years growing up in America-Hostile environments (Hawaii and Indonesia).
There is nothing morally superior about hiding virtually every damned transcript and application to institutions of higher learning.
There is nothing morally superior about voting “present” more times than ‘yea’ or ‘nay’ on any legislation, in any venue.
There is nothing morally superior about getting your wife a $300K/year job to shuffle poor sick people off to county hospitals.
There is nothing morally superior at supposedly having penned two ‘self written’ auto biographies/pompous blather sagas before age 50. It is narcissistic.
There is nothing morally superior claiming in those books he knew how to fool white people, and that if things got ugly he’d stand with his Muslim Brothers.
Nothing morally superior about this man at all. Clouded background, poison filled mind, and pompous arrogance that would piss off the Pope. His goal is revenge on white people, and enslavement of them and the rest of America, enslaved to Islamic Domination.

Yes and that civilization is the Fascist Utopia that Obama means to create. Where every freedom is predefined by political correctness which fluctuates by the size of King Obamas foot on any given day. America is being nmade to submit. Congress is being made t submit. Next the people will be made to submit.
Obama is what can be called a vengeful president.His activities from Kenya, to Libya and Syria have done nothing but create tens of thousands of corpses, and soon the American Spring will begin here in the United States.
The only question now is will we fight? Or will we go down with the slightest of whimpers?
Keep a very close eye on Israel. Obama has released thousands of weapons into the hands of the mujahadeen through Benghazi ( why Hillery will not testify), including between 10 and 20 thousand shoulder launched missiles from the Libyan Arsenal. They are now making their way to the perimeters of every major civilian airport around the world.And thats just a VERY minor aspect of the total picture.Israel is about to fight a war for her very survival with the USA keeping a mere observer status.Once jordon has its Arab Spring, the die will be cast and it will not be long.
It is only a matter of time before the Obama fascist destruction manifests here at home, and Obama wants to take as many of our guns as he can, before his federal DHS street soldiers begin their work here in our own communities.
Also imagine Muslim radicals seizing our schools and shooting a student every hour until their demands are met? They are here in America merely awaiting the GO word.
Every teacher in the country should be training to bear arms in the schools where they work.
Yes Obama’s civilization is about as superior as was the Third Reich of 1930s Europe.The historical similarites are beyond amazing.

More like he governs like a visitor, because he sure as heck doesn’t govern like an American.
Yeah, where is this “moral superiority”? Stoking up a rabid mob to demand more “gimme” concessions from the cowed and defensive producers does not seem to be a good long-term strategy, and quickly shall become unsustainable. The discouraged producers, seeing no tangible return on their investments and time, join the “gimme” crowd, before it all disappears for good.
As for the “prankster” aspect of what Bronco Bama does, it is only a pale comparison with the legendary (in his own mind, at least) Dick Tuck and the “dirty tricks” he pulled on Richard Nixon.
I really could’ve used a barf alert on that one. Seriously. Why doest he just get down on his knees in front of obama and “do some prayin’” for him.
I'd say more as a criticism. It's not praise, but not a very strong condemnation -- or maybe it's both.
Brooks is ambivalent about Obama, and not really sure what side he's on or should be on. One part of David Brooks sees that Obama doesn't really connect with people and isn't really effective in governing, and another part in a way admires Obama's aloofness.
Brooks is a UChicago grad who fancies himself an intellectual and he sees Obama as his alter ego and projects qualities he wants to see in himself on Obama. David Brooks is never going to condemn Obama as harshly as others do, because he has too much emotionally invested in his identification with the president.
It's also another version of the Adlai Stevenson or Eugene McCarthy thing. Realist Brooks sees that those politicians weren't effective or particularly capable, but idealist Brooks loves the "too good for this world" meme and the satisfaction it gives him.
I remember.
The 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats were celebrated in the establishment MSM as the most intelligent generation ever!. They are now arguably that very establishment that praised them and they hold themselves and their ideological issue in even higher regard.
But if I could fault President Obama, I would say that sometimes he governs like a visitor from a morally superior civilization. He comes in here, and he will not, he'll talk with Boehner. He won't talk with the other Republicans. He hasn't built their trust. Boehner actually made a pretty serious concession... But the trust wasn't there to get that done. And if the president wants to get stuff done over the next four years...It's got to get to the place where Republicans say, “Okay, we'll take a risk. This guy won't screw us.” They do not feel that right now."
So I don't think it was a compliment. He meant that Obama is arrogant and hostile and untrustworthy, and while David Brooks may favor some of Hussein's aims, even he is acknowledging that Obama is acting like a...wait, what's that word? Dictator?
Frighteningly accurate. I believe we are all paying for Obama’s grandparents’ overcompensation of his being abandoned by both parents and in having him tutored by Frank Marshall Davis. In his father’s absence, he was glorified in a child’s fantasy. And Obama has continued as an adult to live with that delusion.
Obama always governs like he’s a visitor from Chicago. If David Brooks thinks Chicago is a morally superior civilization, he belongs in a mental institution, or writing editorials for the New York Times. But I repeat myself.

“Governing” is a foreign concept to him —a quaint idea, perhaps fine for those who are more or less equal, not for someone like Himself. HE knows what’s best for us, and will dictate accordingly.

Exactly like a pathological narcissist would. Many on our side still don't really get it. 0bamugabe is mentally ill. Extremely mentally ill. That's not a joke and that's not my bias against him talking. The man is one of the most extreme examples of pathological narcissism in the history of mankind.

If you have a substantive response then you can name someone who was more of a narcissist.
He DID mean it as an insult. He said (to paraphrase)...”that’s the way Obama behaves...like he’s morally superior to everyone.”
David Brooks wants to be invited back on that MSM boob tube show, so he qualifies and thus softens his observation with a “Sometimes”, and makes no reference to Marxism, as Obama himself had done in his book.

I'm not sure about the premise -- the "pathological narcissists" who do the most harm usually have a lot of other serious mental problems -- but Obama isn't the biggest or greatest or most anything.
