I see the code words are now gun violence vs gun control. After all, who wouldn’t be against gun violence and who would resist reasonable regulation

I do not believe there is any where in the US or its possessions that “gun violence” isn’t a felony act today. I guess bams wants to make it MORE illegal.

If this is about “gun violence” and not simply “gun control”, then we need to talk about “gang violence”, not “assault weapon bans”. 75% of gun crimes involve a black or a mexican. over 98% of those murders do not involve what could be considered an assault rifle. The vast majority involve a cheap handgun. Most of these cheap handguns were not acquired legally. It’s pretty clear where we need to start looking to reduce gun violence.
