"I have confidence that fence-sitters will enter the fray in support of traditional marriage."

Uh, if they're "fence-sitters" at this point, they've shown themselves pretty much as lobotomized zombies, or they're stuck on the barbed wire. They probably will stay there permanently.

...I think gay "marriage" is going to lose a lot of its appeal once "gay divorce" becomes more common and homosexuals start steering clear of marriage for the same reason many heterosexuals do.

That's not the point. The goal is to disparage real marriage, whether homos partake of it or not.

Gay Marriage will be left as a state issue. What a concept....conservatives should be very happy about that. 10th Amendment in action. Hopefully only blue states will have the evil. I do not want it a federal law ever.

True conservatives realize there are certain things self evident and inalienable that do not come from government -federal or state.

Morally devoid or morally ambiguous RINOs or Libertarians may be very happy with the absurd novelty of homosexual sex couplings; however, we will have to agree to disagree as to what true conservatives will be very happy about. There is that which the Creator established and endowed us with that neither the federal nor the states have the authority to and can legitimately encroach upon, change, or redefine.

I am not happy about it, but I am pissed that abortion was forced on us federally instead of the states deciding....we would have fewer abortions if done this way....but you obviously are not a conservative by any stretch of the imagination. Your would rather have full abortion and gay marriage forced on us through federal law. What a putz!!!!

My memory is quite good and I remember 'debating' you many times in the past on such topics as this. It is a pity for you that you have only the ability to call me names since FR will not tolerate the leftist propaganda you wish you could promote freely.

States rights? ROTFLMAO!!!!

Pathetic...

That is not true....we have had many “debates” and I don’t call you names normally....however when you bash the 10th Amendment and state’s rights, I have a problem with that. Anyway, I will try in 2013 to debate without personal attacks. That is my goal and hope I can do it! I feel lucky that this happened New Year’s Eve so I can make this hopeful promise. Happy New Year!!!!
