In a move that potentially may spark a class action lawsuit, Dick’s Sporting Goods is refusing to fill orders for guns that were paid for weeks ago.
Russell Kellner of Flower Mound, Texas said he and his wife bought three Troy Defense Carbine Semi-Automatic Rifles on Black Friday at a cost of $799 each, a $300 dollar discount.
“It was a heck of a deal,” said Kellner. They received two of them, but were then notified by Dick’s on Christmas Eve, that no more orders would be fulfilled...

There’s a reason why they named their company “Dicks”.
True, but they didn't refuse the sale, they refused to complete the contract they'd already agreed too.
Personally, I hope everyone who ordered from them but didn't received their merchandise AND the gun manufacturer that made the exclusive deal with them ALL sue them into nonexistence for breach of contract.
Dick's Sporting Goods is aptly named...particularly since they so obviously just stepped on their own!
This is the type of stupidity that terminates trust. If the backtrack on this, who is to say they will not go “special stupid” later.
Also, consider how they would utterly cooperate with keeping track of customer information and just turn it over to any government agency for ANY reason.
You saw the hearings when the Fluckers thought they might be denied their condom/pill payments from their insurance carriers. Where are the hearings on the Hill about a store refusing to avail their Second Amendment Rights? Do the Pubbies have any Balls? They must be all RINO’ed up, again!
Dick’s was already on the edge. Refusing to sell handguns showed their policies before this. They have a store very conveniently located to my shopping area. I will go elsewhere to satisfy my “needs”.

I have thought about going into Dick’s and gathering up an AR-15s worth of goods and having them rung up at the register. Then call the manager over and tell him this is what I was going to spend in his store on a new rifle but I will never spend a nickel in any Rick’s anywhere,anytime.
I don’t think firearms are that big of a profit maker for them. Mostly it’s other sports and clothing.

Those cool little yellow papers one fills out upon a purchase of a firearm at a retail store and are supposed to be on file at the store...will ultimately end up in the hands of the ATF to bolster their database.
There is no more anonymity.
Show ‘em how fast they can go out of business. Zero tolerance for wussy stores like this. No mas.
I remember buying .38Spl from Sports Authority a long time ago, now they don’t sell any firearms. One of the best places for a good price on long guns, is WalMart, but they don’t sell handguns either.
Unless you buy a weapon from a private owner, all firearm transactions have files on the purchase and buyer.
Their Corporate HQ is here in Pittsburgh. Anyone I know who has ever had any business dealings with them so far as being a supplier, etc. all agree. They REALLY live up to their name!
But did you take their money first? Weeks in advance?

That’s been my policy for several years now. This came about after trying to buy a bolt action .22 package that they were out of stock on 1 day after a sale flyer was released. They had plenty of semis in the same package on the shelf but apparently didn’t order enough bolt actions. They gladly gave be a raincheck but never made good on it. I went back monthly and was told each time that they would call me when they came in...never happened.
Never really like their setup anyhow. When I go into a sporting goods store I like to see guns and ammo when I walk in the door not hid in some out of the way corner.
