I believe Bushmaster is the sole supplier to the military for a number of weapons. The most well known being the 25mm cannon which can be found on Bradleys, LAVs, and naval vessels,incl IIRC, the new littoral warfare ships. So I suppose Obama could demand a stoppage of manufacturing ARs or the Pentagon will get its 25s from China.
Bushmaster the company does not manufacture the Bushmaster auto cannon you describe. They only make rifles and pistols - the Bushmaster cannon was designed by what was McDonnell Douglas and is produced by Alliant Techsystems (ATK).

It is true that Bushmaster has had (has) government contracts, but for M16/M4 components. Alliant Tech Systems (ATK) builds the M242 “Bushmaster” or former-Hughes “Chain Gun”. Ditto the 30mm Bushmaster II Mk 44 gun. ATK is also a large ammunition supplier for DoD.
