How many female firefighters died on 9/11? When I looked at the list of the names of the dead at the NYFD website I did not see any names that would indicate female. Only the men have the strength to carry the heavy equipment up the stairs.

I don’t think any did, but I know a female Port Authority cop did. Given what the Port Authority police deal with, I’m surprised that had a female cop; nevertheless, she gave her life on 9/11.
