On the one hand, you get the free cell phone; on the other hand, you get four dollar gas.

That might be a good way of explaining it to an ignorant public. The higher price of gas is directly related to the higher price of government. Of course market forces have an effect on the price, but taxes and the weakness of the dollar are a major component of that price we see at gas stations.

I would take Rand Paul as a smart and serious contender for ‘16 if his whacko father would have accepted the defeat with manly dignity and endorsed Romney, rather than acting like sore loser bi**h and having his zombie devotees follow suit, and screwing up the chance to rid ourselves of this Muslim idiot.

If a person is paying 10,000 in taxes and then “gets back” 5,000 in deductions, then why not only have them pay 5,000 in taxes?

Also why does no one get that having a tiered “progressive” tax system that is “supposedly fair” nothing but a tool for politicians on BOTH sides as a wedge for them playing class/economic warfare.

Anyone who picked up a Math Book in school and can actually understand it would realize that a Simple all inclusive FLAT tax is the only damn system that even approaches being “logically fair”.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., argued that President Obama is not being honest when he indicates that tax increases on the wealthy, without significant spending cuts, can bring fiscal stability to the nation.

Finally, a Republican who is not afraid to state the obvious. Unfortunately, Reid/McConnell are the ones calling the shots in the Senate.
