I wish there was a provision that the president and congress don’t get paid until a real, businesslike budget is worked out.

Sure ought to be - along with a provision that says their pay will be cut by 10% for every day they fail to pass a real BUDGET! Pay cut permanent.

The vast majority, if not all, of the posts today regarding the “deal” reference the Senate and Obama—No mention of the House at all. Anyone else find that curious?

Midnight votes remind me of the old Jim Wright days as speaker of the house. He would lead midnight votes like a thief in the night, just like
Bonehead and Cantor. Corrupt SOB’s.

That way they won’t be voting for a tax increase. They’ll be voting on a tax cut.

Wish there was a provision that says if the budget isn’t balanced, you forfeit the rest of your term in office.

I dont believe any of this hype. I don’t know what is going on but it isn’t a cliff. News media have been working this up for weeks now. Just an excuse to cover up something else.

Whatever “deal” they come up with, they’re all bandaids that don’t stop the debt from getting trillions of dollars deeper in the decade to come.

This is pure media hype, BS, Caca etc. etc. etc.
