You've got to hand it to bloviating Brit Piers Morgan. While he got most of the facts wrong in his recent targeting of the Second Amendment, it hasn't stopped him from moving on to even more formidable targets.
Such as the Bible.
He says the book is "inherently flawed" -- and needs to be amended.
Piers handed down his decree while interviewing Saddleback Church pastor Rick Warren on the December 24th "Piers Morgan Tonight." Yes, on Christmas Eve. When other hosts might be discussing love, brotherhood, salvation, and all things ethereal, Captain Morgan was giving us the world according to Piers. And how would he improve the Good Book? Said he, "Both the Bible and the Constitution were well intentioned, but they are basically, inherently flawed. Hence the need to amend it. My point to you about gay rights, for example; it's time for an amendment to the Bible."
Well, Piers, we're so blessed to have you to correct both America's founding document and the most influential book in history. We had to suffer more than 200 years with one and more than 2000 with the other, but the right god-man has finally come along. Oh, and when you're done with that, old boy, can you contact the Genome Project and rewrite the human genetic code for us? We're flawed, too. To Warren's credit, he politely but firmly disagreed, responding to the amendment call by saying:
What I believe is flawed is human opinion because it constantly changes. [...]What was hot is now not. [...]My definition of Truth is: if it's new, it's not true. If it was true a thousand years ago, it'll be true a thousand years from today; opinion changes, but Truth doesn't. To this Morgan quite predictably responded, "We're going to agree to disagree on that."

Hey Piers, I double dog dare you to say that about the Koran!
Messing with Gods words and promises is a flawed idea.
This will not end well for him.
With Piers Morgan it’s open season on the Bible. Good grief!
“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt”
I have a very simple question for you, Piers:
Why are you here?
Honestly, why are you here if this nation is so terribly loathsome to you and your peculiar sensibilities? Sod off, you pompous git.
This is the last gasp of Piers Morgan: Attention Whore.
I’ve never watched this fop and certainly from what I’ve read, never will.
He’s a silly little man.
The Bible has been amended numerous time already; there are tons of versions that are so bad they’re blasphemous. Does this doofus even know that?
I take special joy in knowing that Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear punched this douchebag.
The Bible and the Constitution do not need amending!
I agree. My God, the God of Elijah, will not be mocked.
It will be public, humiliating and bad for Piers if he does not repent.
I cannot believe he is stupid enough to say this. What an idiot.
Re: The Bible and the Constitution do not need amending!
I disagree about the latter.
I’d like the 16th amendment amended.
In fact, I’d like an Amendment to the constitution CLARIFYING IN CLEAR ENGLISH TEXT AS TO WHO QUALIFIES AS NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.
RE: I cannot believe he is stupid enough to say this. What an idiot.
The man is obviously NOT a Christian and does not subscribe to the Christian worldview.
The Bible was written by a committee of unknown folks, mostly using only one name as their nom de plume, has been translated and amended dozens, hundreds or maybe even thousands of times. It is interpreted differently by everybody that reads one version or another and is "interpreted" by "scholars" speaking in front of vast audiences of blind followers.
It also bears striking similarities to other recitations of moral codes fostered by widely-separated peoples who had no knowledge of each other.
Differences in interpretations of various anecdotal moral codes have also led to a lot of senseless bloodshed and violence over the millenia.
I vote we take it all back to the 10 Commandments and push the restart button on everything else.
11th Commandment: Thou Shall not own any weapon of self protection, Abolish the Constitution of the United States of America, and Believe in Piers for guidance for all things.
I take it you are not a Christian....
Obviously. Therefore his opinion means nada to me...nor I would imagine anyone else.
What do you say to Post #15 above. The poster agrees with Piers Morgan.
