Haniyeh: Israel is a 'Cancerous Tumor'

Hamas's de-facto Prime Minister in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, took advantage of an educational conference on Tuesday to attack Israel, Channel 10 News reported.

"Israel is a cancerous tumor that must be removed and uprooted," Haniyeh was quoted as having said during an international conference on education.

"The hand of the resistance and the jihad fighters has begun to uproot the tumor, and will work to end the occupation of Palestine as a whole. Allah willing, we will break the occupation," Haniyeh said in a speech which was heard by representatives from Egypt, Tunisia and Qatar.

He called for Gazan teachers to "raise a generation that will fight and liberate the Palestinians from the occupation," according to Channel 10.

Haniyeh added that his organization is working to rebuild the destruction caused by Israel during the various wars in Gaza.

Recent Palestinian Authority polls have indicated that Hamas is gaining strength at the expense of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

A new independent poll in the PA, released last week, found that Arabs in Judea, Samaria and Gaza are rejecting Abbas in favor of Haniyeh.

Thinking further on this comparison, it reveals a lot about Hamas’ mind-set. It is not really a bad analogy from their point of view. The entire Middle East and Islamic world is riddled with non-Islamic and/or non-Arabic ethnicities, such as Copts and other Christians, Armenians, Druze, Alawites, Bahai and Kurds (Islamic but non-Arabic). This remark, then, isn’t a fear that the “cancer” of Jewish states will metastasize and create more Jewish states all over the place, but that the other non-Arab and/or Non-Muslim enclaves will also escape from the yoke of Arab, Sunni and Shiite oppression. They must tolerate Iranian, Pashtun and Turkish autonomy over their respective regions, because they are too numerous to beat, and because they are Muslims, or at least are considered Muslims by other Shiites in the case of Iran.

This is how Israel is “cancerous”. The small enclaves are liable to get uppity and form their own states, as Armenia and South Sudan already have. To Westerners, there is a big difference between a Jew, a Kurd or an Egyptian Copt. To Arab Muslims, however, they are all one group, the “others,” and they will, when angry with Israelis, also lash out at Copts or Alawites, because to them it is all one group.

And viewed in this way, I see a post-American strategy for Israel’s survival. That may sound cold-hearted, but really it isn’t. America has just been reamed up the Hershey highway and it’s going to get worse. The American people are true friends and allies, but the American economy has become incapacitated, and the government has proven itself increasingly unreliable. Obama is just the worst President so far. So we do have to have a strategy for surviving without America’s still considerable clout in our corner.

But I digress. The MB fears our influence on the other Eastern minorities. Let’s influence them with bells on. Recognize Greater Kurdistan as an independent nation. Give covert and overt assistance to Christian enclaves, and take back Bethlehem and Beit Jaala. Improve our relations with South Sudan, Armenia, Greece, Georgia, and especially India. We all have a common enemy, Islamofascism in two flavors of s@#$. With America incapacitated, Israel must unite with the rest of the “others”. We might not win the upcoming world war, but at least this way we have a chance.

I agree with most of what you say, However.

How will we get to your solution with a Muslim in the White House that is set upon helping the Muslim Brotherhood ?

This country under Obama will never help the Copts, or any other Christians ,or the Jews, against the Muslims.

Obama has already negated our Legislative Branch, dstroyed the Judicial with his blackmailing of Roberts, and is cutting our military to the bone. Never in the history of America has one man taken so much power unto himself while the other branch’s of our government sit and play with themselves.

Imagine the glee if as soon as this was reported, the Israelis said exactly the same thing, but transposed “Gaza” for “Israel”. The hypocrites are so obsessed that they would only report the Israeli statement, as if it just came out of the blue.

“The hand of the Israeli people and the Israeli Defense Forces has begun to uproot the tumor, and will work to end the terrorism issuing from Palestine as a whole. God willing, we will make them lay down their aggressive arms and vie for peace or be expelled.”
