A graph prepared by an author and member of the state gun rights group Georgia Carry.org notes a marked increase in active killer events in spite of federal laws intended to help curb such incidents. GCO research staffer Michael Menkus, previously brought to the attention of Gun Rights Examiner readers as the author of Guns Good Bans Bad - An Analysis of U.S. Department of Justice 2010 Crime Statistics, recently completed a chart that demonstrates a quadrupling of these events (see photo accompanying this column).
Along with studying how changes in carry laws change crime rates, I also study Active Killer events and decided to look at the impact of the Gun-Free School Zone law, Menkus told Gun Rights Examiner.
I found two interesting things. First, since the law was enacted we went from one incident every decade to four, he reported. Second, guess whose bill the original GFSZA was in? The guy President Obama just selected to spearhead the White House response to the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting.
The sponsor of the Crime Control Act of 1990 which included the GFSZA was then-Senator Joe Biden, a GeorgiaCarry.Org email blast to its members confirmed, asking and concluding Will Joe Biden tarnish his legacy and admit his Gun-Free School Zone Act has endangered our children? We don't think so, either.

Media has blood on thier hands, continual bombardment of these events hieghtens the copycat rise to fame.
Take out the events at institutes of higher education, and the dispartity between the number of events before and after the Gun Free School Zone act becomes even greater.
First Person shooter video games rose in popularity in early 90’s pre-columbine 1999
MSM has blood on its hands... Yes, the copycat effect is real.
You are near the truth, but not there yet. Why none of the gun groups have mentioned this is beyond me.
According to the Army, guess what percentage of soldiers fired their weapons the first time they were in combat during the Viet Nam war, and what percentage fired their weapons the first time they were in combat during the Gulf War?
And what happened in-between to cause this great improvement?
And what are we spending BILLIONS on to train soldiers with today?
Yep, realistic video simulator ‘games.’ And yes they work - big time. The difference is, the military spends a few hours with soldiers playing video games, and then many dozens of hours with soldiers being taught when it is appropriate for them to use the skills the games have taught them.
Nobody in the military is allowed to sit in a darkened basement and play these games on end for days.
And therein lies the biggest part of the cause.
"To: Kaslin Doing a bit of research i found an over wealthy plutocrat (herb kohl) and a probable mental patient who's now had brain surgery three times unsuccessfully (joe biden) seem to have been two self anointed leftwingtard intellectuals who introduced us to Free Fire Zone schools with their No Gun Zones.
These are just part of the crowd who decided they didn't need Judge Bork, and now as time has shown, their clear intention was to foster mass murders at public schools!

Some related facts:
In an unpublished report, engineering statistician William Sturdevant found that concealed carry licensees had arrest rates far lower than the general population for every category of crime. For instance:
Licensees were 5.7 times less likely to be arrested for violent offenses than the general public - 127 per 100,000 population versus 730 per 100,000.
Licensees were 14 times less likely to be arrested for nonviolent offenses than the general public - 386 per 100,000 population versus 5,212 per 100,000.
Further, the general public is 1.4 times more likely to be arrested for murder than licensees [ see Figure I ], and no licensee had been arrested for negligent manslaughter.

With 14 incidents stopped by police with a total of 200 dead thats an average of about 14.3. With 15 incidents stopped by civilians and 35 dead thats an average of 2.3.

As of the end of 2012, more than 440 School Age Children Shot in Gun-Controlled Chicago. In a gun-control-utopia such as this, youd expect school-age children to be safe from all harm, if you buy into the theories of Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Yet the truth is more than 440 school-age children have been shot in Chicago in 2012. This is not to say that 440 school-age children died, simply that more than 440 school-age children were at least wounded. The number of school-age children killed is reported at approximately 60.
They are the ones to go after ~ figuring out computers can help you become a better shot really isn't astounding ~ they can help you bowl 300 every time, and golf 18 on 9 holes, or dance gracefully!
Guns are NOT more readily available to the average teenager today. Anyone that grew up in the 50’s knows guns where everywhere. Most of the Dads in our neighborhood had fought in World War II and had at least one gun. None were locked up, and most were loaded. And most of the kids knew where they were kept. Guns were sold via mail order for gosh sakes. You didn't have to leave your home to buy one. As a reward for making all B's I bought my first pistol at 15.
So by the current liberal argument (too many guns) there should have been a bloodbath weekly. And there wasn't.
If we have a society that creates monsters, monsters will find some means to do harm. And we couldn't remove every possible source of harm if we wanted to.
Right now we are LOSING the gun argument and it is because we keep fighting it on the liberals terms. We have to get on the factual points and hammer them:
GUNS ARE NOT MORE READILY AVAILABLE TODAY THEN THEY WERE IN THE 50'S AND 60'S, AND WE DID NOT HAVE THESE KIND OF EVENTS IN THE 50'S AND 60'S - THEREFORE THE CAUSE IS SOMETHING ELSE.
And if you want to stop these kinds of events, you have to stop the something else. (Hint: it has a lot to do with the society liberals have demanded we create.)
Three things drive these nut cases. First they want power and attention. They want it for as long as possible so they chose a place where there will be no one to shoot back for a while.
Second, they want fame. The press gives them that right away and for weeks afterwards.
Thirdly they want to be “understood”. The press, after a few days gives them that by trying to ‘find out what went wrong in this young life’.
This leads the next crazy to think it is a good way to go out.
The solution:
1) Ban gun free zones.
2) Ban naming the killer in the press.
3) Ban the press from trying to “understand” the whack job and instead only refer to him in derogatory terms. In other words, treat the shooter like he was a Republican running for office.
Sure, this will never happen; but if it did the copy cats would end and we’d go back to it being an almost unheard of situation.
i think it’s more useful to push the issue that Joe Biden is personally responsible for the deaths of these children who found themselves held hostage by the state of Connecticut in one of his Free Fire Zone schools.
That is absolutely correct but -
look at what a fertilizer bomb did to a building in Oklahoma. The shooter was apparently quite intelligent and obviously capable of making a similar device. A car loaded with this stuff and driven into part of the school building could not be stopped in time - even if we had armed guards.
The problem is not guns, or fertilizer, or to a degree, even gun free zones. It is that we have evolved (devolved?) into a society that creates monsters. And the fact that must be driven home with a sledge hammer is that ONCE WE DID NOT.
As a percentage, there were many more kids during the 50’s and 60’s (hence the name ‘baby boomers’), and this kind of stuff did not go on. The answer is to look at how those parents raised all of those kids without creating the same kind of lunatics we are today.
No liberal is ever going to want this to be part of the discussion. Because the differences between society then and society now (which must surely be the cause) will consist of a long list of liberal favorite ideas.
And at the bottom line, those changes ARE the cause.
Darn I wish I could find my old service Armament catalog from the mid 60’s. Have it but I can’t locate it. The link below has a few pages reproduced:

There are literally blow out zones built into all buildings ~ whether its a ground floor with little in it, or a postal facility where you walk in only to find the business part of the retail operation is a good 50 to 75 feet away buried in the interior ~ which, btw, is going to be a long way from the parking lot or drive that has public accessability. There are low walls, ballustrade and other systems, including virtually invisible grade separations, built into the site ~
Tim McVeign bypassed the post office across the corner and went for the day care center!
oh, yeah, we did that because back in the 1920s the leftwingtards were bombing post offices. now they make it easy to kill kids. same old leftwingtards. The solution is to ..............
Along with all the liberals who supported his brain dead positions...
