The logic here is when a person has a rifle or handgun, someone dies. If we take rifles and handguns away from cops, less people will die. If we take rifles and handguns away from good people, less people will die. If we take rifles and handguns away from criminals,...shucks, this logic won't work - no one knows where all the criminals’ guns are and they aren't giving them up.

In that case, shoot to kill every criminal that threatens someone’s life - that's more like it - that's the ticket, kill gun carrying criminals and less good people die. The author of this crap can be the first one to chase down the first criminal, kill him and take that gun.

If some people refused to give up their guns, that “prying the guns from their cold, dead hands” thing works for me.

And I sure the Justice Department's going to be all over that threat. /sarc
