When bohner unseated a lifelong Democrat he did it the right way- with conservative ideals.
But he has been in Washington too long. Everything is looked at as ow it affects Republicans, not the country.
His speach explaining the cliff deal says it all- it was ALL about the politics of it, and nothing about the country.
No, he didn't. Repeat: Boehner DID NOT unseat Nancy Pelosi. The Tea Party did.
Then, when Michele Bachmann, the titular leader of the House Tea Party Caucus, came to Boehner and asked for a leadership position, he looked her in the eye -- holding the gavel she and the Tea Party gave him -- and said,
"It's Not Your Turn."
Thanks for the gavel, lady -- go screw yourself.
This after Bachmann had had to fight for her political life, twice in a row, against maximal efforts by Pelosi and the Democratic Campaign Committee to defeat her for reelection.
