Gun Group To Give Armed Teacher Training In 15 States (Buckeye Firearms Foundation Course)

Although many lawmakers, the president and gun control advocates immediately scoffed at the NRA’s suggestion that schools needed more armed personnel to avoid tragedies like that of Sandy Hook Elementary last month, teachers and school staff are voluntarily flocking to arms training courses.

Ohio-based Buckeye Firearms Foundation has launched an Armed Teacher Training curriculum to offer gun training to teachers and school workers.

According to Ohio’s Fox 19, “As of Wednesday, the Armed Teacher Training Program has attracted more than 600 applicants from several states including Ohio, Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and West Virginia.”

More than one-third of the 600 applicants are female.

According to Fox, the program, which will officially launch in Spring 2013, will take teachers through intensive gun training and will have course attendees take the same firearms test as law enforcement officers.

You won’t see the MSM reporting any of these training sessions.

Too bad.

I would love to see weekly topic shows of teachers being trained to use firearms.

Schools are becoming more dangerous every day, & not just from random shooters. Angry parents & thuggish students also contribute to the danger.

Teachers are directly in the line of fire. Despite Liberal gun control propaganda, many realize that they will be victims without adequate security. Many have already become victims. Personal security, or the lack of it - fear, is a powerful motivator.

If teachers abandon the absurdity of defenseless schools, the gun control lobby is finished.

Washington state law on guns in schools from:

http://www.k12.wa.us/Safetycenter/Weapons/default.aspx

“Exemptions to state and federal prohibitions on possession of firearms are made for persons who are licensed by the state to carry a concealed pistol. The GFSZA provides an allowance for licensed persons to possess firearms within 1000 feet of a school, and state law allows those licensed to carry a concealed pistol to possess a firearm on school grounds while picking up or dropping off a student. State law prohibits loaded firearms inside school facilities except for security and law enforcement.”

I think the Washington applicant to the gun training may not know the law, or he may think it will be changed. One new representative has introduced legislation to do precisely that.

Creepy.

Thanks for the fotos. I'm printing them out and pasting them on some targets for my next trip to the range.
