Jason Whitlock Compares Conservative Scholar Thomas Sowell to House Slave
Breitbart ^ | 1/4/13 | Tony Lee

Posted on 01/04/2013 9:42:48 AM PST by Nachum

Controversial black sports columnist Jason Whitlock compared black conservative scholar Thomas Sowell to a house slave in a series of tweets on Wednesday.

When asked what columnist he felt was closely related to Samuel L. Jackson’s character in the “Django Unchained” movie, Whitlock tweeted, “Thomas Sowell":

You almost have to admire Jason for turning his ignorant mind to America’s greatest living intellectual, in any context. Maybe next he’ll pick up one of Dr. Sowell’s books and be converted.

Whitlock is a simple minded piece of racist trash.

Whitlock is to Sowell as Minelli Vanelli is to Mozart.

Get your head out of your rear end, Jason.

Below is a comment from a reader on Fox Nation regarding Whitlock and his statement that is most appropriate.

I have read and loved Mr Sowells words for years. I respect him. I find the disrespect from this mans words racist and disgusting. I also believe just trying to shake our heads and feel sorry for jason is the respectful thing to do! I do feel sorry for those in the black community that can't handle someone going against the pity party!

Well said, commenter.

This is what happens when you have a million news websites out there starved for content. They publish what buffoons like Jason Whitlock say. No one should care what this moron says or give him publicity for saying it.

If he’s not the greatest, I can’t think of any better. Hopefully history will remember him as such.

It HAS to really torque the left that one of the planet’s greatest minds is a Black CONSERVATIVE.

Jason Whitlock keeps fighting to keep the Negroes down on the Liberal plantation. As long as Whitlock keeps his brothers in line, I’d say Whitlock is actually the Uncle Tom — he’s just too dumb to actually know it.

Yes, and when one of the Milli pretenders couldn’t take it anymore after being “outed”,and being made a global laughingstock, it wasn’t long before he committed suicide. No such fate awaits Jason Whitlock, though. It’s very interesting how many of these sports “commentators” have trended far left lately. It ain’t just him and the absurd Bob Costas.
They seek to elevate pro sports to some kind of heady “significance” where everything in it carries signs of the politically-charged larger society, so they can then exercise their half-assed “punditry” with impunity. There are ways of doing this, but you’ve gotta be Robert Lipsyte, and this guy ain’t no Lipsyte.

BULL5h17!!!!!

Look up Denmark Vessy, and see who more resembles or emulates a house slave. Those who speak truth and adores liberty (Thomas Sowell among them), or those who sell out just to get along with their comfortable existence (those who voted for modern slavery in unconstitutional social handouts in the form of American socialism).

“...We went into slavery a piece of property; we came out American citizens. We went into slavery pagans; we came out Christians. We went into slavery without a language; we came out speaking the proud Anglo-Saxon tongue. We went into slavery with slave chains clanking about our wrists; we came out with the American ballot in our hands.”
Booker T. Washington, Address to Hamilton Club, Chicago, 1895

enough time wasted on a sports news reader

Whitlock also compared the National Rife Assocation (NRA) to the KKK when he said:

"I believe the NRA is the new KKK. And that the arming of so many black youths, uh, and loading up our community with drugs, and then just having an open shooting gallery, is the work of people who obviously don’t have our best interests [at heart]."

Well, all I can say is I know of and respect Dr Sowell and agree with his ideals.
I know nothing of Whitlock - is he the one that made some idiotic statement about a football player?

Despite the name Jason, I would presume this gentleman is Black — which, believe me, makes no difference what he is, he apparently speaks from whence the excrement passes?
Only because a White Liberal of the ilk of Robert Byrd (DD-WV) can get away with that kind of talk.

Just pretend Jimmy the Greek or Howard Cosell or gasp Rush Limbaugh would have made such an utterance....

Thomas Sowell grew up in segregated North Carolina and was raised by his widowed mother.

He moved with his aunt to Harlem and attended New York's prestigious and exclusive Stuyvesant High School

He left school to join the Marine Corps (pronounced "Core") and attended Howard University on the GI Bill.

He transferred to Harvard University in 1956, before there was any such thing as preference policies.

He got a masters from Columbia and a doctorate from the University of Chicago.

He was the protege of Nobel Laureate (in Economics, not in "Peace") George Stigler.

He's been an accomplished author, economics professor and journalist for over 40 years.

Whitlock was a football washout at Ball State who is known mostly for his combative and poorly researched columns for also-ran outlets.

Jason Whitlock, a longtime KC sports... uh, well I guess he’s labeled a “writer” doesn’t have the intellect to shine Professor Sowell’s shoes!

Both write columns, but there’s no comparison to the content or intellect that goes into them. Dr. Sowell writes for adults, yet is perfectly capable of making clear very complex subjects (like economics) to people of all levels of education.

Jason Whitlock... I’m not really sure who he writes for, but the guy has proven himself, over and over again, to be a booger-eating-moron (BEM.)

It’s just jealousy. Whitlock WISHES in his dearest dreams that he could put together a column with the wit and clarity just a fraction as good as the worst Sowell column.

They have to do it, because the decree comes from their masters in the ministry of propaganda.
