Feinstein's New Gun-Ban Bill Likely to be Introduced January 22
NRA ^

Contact your members of Congress and urge them to oppose any "assault weapon" or magazine ban

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.)--author of the federal "assault weapon" and "large" ammunition magazine ban of 1994-2004--has said for weeks that she will soon introduce an even more restrictive bill. Leaders in the U.S. Senate have stated that January 22 will be the first day on which new Senate legislation can be proposed, so that is the most likely date for the new, sweeping legislation to be introduced.

On Dec. 17th, Feinstein said, "I have been working with my staff for over a year on this legislation" and "It will be carefully focused." Indicating the depth of her research on the issue, she said on Dec. 21st that she had personally looked at pictures of guns in 1993, and again in 2012.

According to a Dec. 27th posting on Sen. Feinstein's website and a draft of the bill obtained by NRA-ILA, the new ban would, among other things, adopt new definitions of "assault weapon" that would affect a much larger variety of firearms, require current owners of such firearms to register them with the federal government under the National Firearms Act, and require forfeiture of the firearms upon the deaths of their current owners. Some of the changes in Feinstein's new bill are as follows:

Have you been watching ANY of the NRA’s responses at all or are you just coming out to attack an organization that knows how to get things done politically, even if you disagree?

The NRA has already said NO COMPROMISES. They will NOT support an AWB of any sort.

Bringing up historical events here is irrelevant because the times have changed. Americans, by a large margin, do not support bans that have statistically been proven to do absolutely nothing in the wake of crime. We have a Republican controlled House and several pro-gun Dems in the Senate (though we’ll see how well they stick to their guns, pun intended).

This is a different time and the NRA needs our support. Don’t be a jackal and call them cavers before the debate has even begun.

Easy to say today. When the grab starts, and people are facing jail, massive fines, and getting shot most will comply. Its human nature.

Democrats don't do that to start with, because they're too stupid to recognize intelligence in the first place.

This MUST be the line, not in the sand, but etched in the rock. Here, and no farther.

How well has that been working out so far?

Didn't Boner say that he'd never cave before Obama? What did he end up doing?

Comparing the NRA to Boner is like comparing apples to airplanes.

Someone needs to file criminal charges against her the very next day. Violation of USC Title 18 Sec 241/242. Deprivation of civil rights under color of law.

We need someone to introduce a bill to protect our right to vote, all persons registering to vote shall be fingerprinted, photographed, and have a background check on their alleged citizenship and check for felonies. Those that perjure themselves will be subject to strict penalties and jail time. Mirror difi’s bill, certainly illegal voters are causing more damage than a few loose nuts with guns. Start with verifying the Presidents eligibility and prosecute ATF for running guns to Mexico before any discussion about gun control

Take the offensive!

It seems to me that a good way to derail this nonsense issuing from senator Feinstein, would be to start generating Internet rumors directed at the various blocs supporting her.

Not with intent that such rumors actually be believed, but with the idea of interfering with her timetable, by making those groups nervous enough to demand that she bow and scrape to them, to show her loyalty.

For example, how about the rumor that she wants special provisions to keep guns out of the hands of Mexican Americans and legal Mexican residents in California? No mention of illegals, however.

The same with blacks in California. That she wants the honest *black* people, “the ones who would fight back”, to have their guns taken away. Why? Oh, no reason.

Timetables are very important in government. If she misses her window of opportunity at the end of the month, it could be a very long time before she gets another chance.

I’ve thought about this very thing. Back during the home school debates, when people were being hauled before courts to defend their right to teach their own children as they saw fit, the courts would sometimes test their commitment to their beliefs, making the distinction as follows: A conviction is something you would die for, a preference is anything you can be talked out of.

For me, the natural right of self defense is a conviction, not a preference, and as I am a Christian man, I feel ready, by God’s mercy and grace, to depart this life if forced, by adherence to Godly principles, to do so. My only reluctance is my love for my family. I know they would be as miserable without me as I would be without them.

Therefore, I want to have it both ways. I want my family and I to continue to thrive, and I want to stop the machinery of tyranny cold. Premeditated suicide via failed Ruby Ridge heroics would accomplish neither objective. An alternative others have suggested, and it sounds good to me, is a coordinated response to gun control raids. If flash mobs can ransack 7-11s, why can such a method not be used against those who would usurp our natural, God-given right of self defense? We form a hierarchy of networks, “freedom flash mobs,” if you will, with every person committed to every other person, to show up when the call goes out, no hesitation, no delay, no excuses. We don’t want our people dying useless deaths. We want to jar the left out of its utopian delusion via a little reality therapy, the reality being that no sane person will ever voluntary hand over to tyrants their right or power to live and live free, and least of all we who have been raised in the rich soil of freedom passed on to us by our founders and forefathers. We are the posterity for whom they sacrificed so much. Let us do them proud.

The federal government with all its weapons, laws and resources can’t stop the deadly Mexican drug cartels at the border, and cannot stop them from operating in hundreds of communities throughout the United States. And now the government want to disarm citizens to stop us from protecting ourselves against the narco terrorists and other criminal pyschopaths that run the streets? Citizens have the right to protect ourselves particularly when the government is unable or unwilling to protect us.

GOOD to know about our Senators. Thank you very much, LLS!

Of course my US Rep., Communist Bennie Thompson, will be vociferously on board with Nazi Feinstein.

Senator Frankenstein, her staff and any other demoncrap who touches this bill needs to be charged with treason and be given the maximum punishment under the law if they push ahead with this.

They all need to be destroyed politically, personally, emotionally, and financially.
