A woman died on an international flight Wednesday. The flight was American Airlines flight 962 and originated from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
According to police, the 25-year-old woman made her way to the airplanes lavatory then collapsed and died after walking from the lavatory.
The plane was headed to the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport but was diverted to Houstons Bush Intercontinental Airport; it landed around 6:30 a.m.
Officials are scheduled to perform an autopsy on the woman who was not identified at the time of this report.
After several hours later, the flight continued onto Dallas and landed there just before before 10:30 a.m. Authorities are investigating the incident.
Probably a drug mule....
First think I thought.
Can deep vein thrombosis manifest while still traveling?
It would be nice to see some follow-up to this story.
25 y.o. women don’t usually drop dead all of a sudden.
they do when the put Trogans filled with pure tootskies in the wrong orfice
Bio Terror?
They ran out of blu gloves that day?
For some reason, your story made me think of Aunt Edna in the movie National Lampoon's Vacation.
Then, I got a mental image of what the woman must have looked like tied to the top of that airplane.
Then, I laughed out loud.
Then, I told my wife why I was amused when she asked.
Now, she thinks I am a sick pervert.
Thanks.
Someone very sick trying to make it here for free medical care?
Weekend at Bernice’s ?
When I took that flight it was an eleven hour flight! I would suspect deep vein thrombosis.
me too.
Would be a little unusual to develop and manifest that quickly. Usually these folks die or come to the ED with their pulmonary emboli days to weeks after. I agree on the drug running-she collapsed after a trip to the bathroom
If she’s got a genetic condition like Leiden, it could happen. My husband (who didn’t know he had it) developed a huge DVT in a 6-hour period in our truck.
One of the condoms broke.
Can happen just not likely. The clot can start in that amount of time but usually takes days to weeks to become symptomatic and embolize
Why would she not have already known that?
Everybody on that flight is going to be watched like a hawk until COD is determined to not be a contagious disease.
So there is going to be a bit of a rush job on the cadaver.
Probably just Ebola. Relax!
