GOP scrambles to fix its primary problem (by stacking the deck against Conservatives)
Politico ^ | January 4, 2013 | Jonathan Martin

The disastrous 2012 election and embarrassing fiscal cliff standoff has brought forth one principal conclusion from establishment Republicans: They have a primary problem.

The intra-party contests, or threat thereof, have become the original sin that explains many of the party’s woes in the minds of GOP leaders. It’s the primaries that push their presidential nominees far to the right (see “self-deportation” and “47 percent”); produce lackluster Senate candidates (Todd Akin has almost become a one-word shorthand); and, as seen most vividly in the last two weeks, dissuade scores of gerrymandered House members from face-saving compromise while politically emasculating their speaker.

What to do about the primaries has become Topic A in many a post-election Republican soul-searching session, and now the first steps are being taken to address the issue. For Senate Republicans, that means a modified return to their 2010 posture of openly playing in primaries. A retiring House Republican is starting a super PAC to help House members challenged from the right. And an RNC commission is mulling over changes to the party’s presidential primary.

As many of us predicted during the ABO-Romney fiasco, the GOP-E is blaming Conservatives for losing, and is now moving to freeze us out of the process altogether.

People need to get to your state conventions in force and replace your RNC committeemen. A few hundred votes is usually enough to get it done.

As for the tea party costing the election. A lot more tea partiers won than lost.

I think the GOPe has come to the conclusion that if they offer the freeloaders more handouts and offer citizenship to the illegal aliens, they won’t need their base to win elections. The GOPe is going to get in a race with the commie Democrats to see who can create the BIGGER government.

You’re right, but they will never “out-freebie” the Dems. The Dems are notorious for having no expectations of anyone, and it has crafted this image for generations. The Repubs are wasting their time; see that they’re not wasting our money as well. In the end, all politicians (from either party) are government workers, and behave accordingly: self-preservation is their driving purpose.

The Fascists have agreed with the Socialists that to follow the Constitution or to make and live with a budget will not make them rich or famous.

So America is screwed by both sets of traitors.

Good thing there is a Hell.

Matthew 25

7 “All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps.
8 Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’
9 “But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked.
11 Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’

12 “But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’

.... Republican leaders are planning to intervene in selected [Senate] 2014 races to ensure preferred candidates win the nomination.

The preferred GOP-e compliant moderate squishes as opposed to Tea Party patriots.

We need solid conservative candidates who can complete a sentence without sticking their big fat foot in their politically clueless mouth.

The GOP is done and needs to be replaced with the Tea Party.

I agree that the GOP is done. It's principal purpose seems to be to reelect incompetents incumbents. We have seen how that works.

However, the "Tea Party" is not a political party and it is not useful to pretend that it is. Call it anything you wish, but we need an actual party, capable of putting conservative candidates on Federal, State and local ballots and helping them to win elections.

I have heard lots of moaning and groaning, but have seen precious little movement in that direction. Will we wait until January of 2016 to get started? That's not a great way to proceed.

I didn’t leave the Republican Party. The Republican Party left me.

There is one party that comes in two flavors. There is a radical, fast track flavor. There is a slightly less radical, slightly slower flavor.

They both taste bad.

Todd Akin was Michelle Bachmann’s and Mike Huckabee’s choice, but not the choice of the tea parties.

The US government is flat out broke and fiscally failed. They cannot allow an honest person to ever hold the office of President again. An honest person would tell Americans that the federal gravy train is off the tracks. A true conservative is going to have integrity and they wont lie about the economic situation.

So the RINO's put forth the false flag that conservatives cost them the election. The truth is that the DINO RINO Oligarchical crooks cannot allow a law abiding honest citizen to ever assume the office of Presidency.
