Buchanan: "There Would Be A Revolution" If Government Confiscated Weapons (video)

PAT BUCHANAN: There are three million ArmaLite rifles, those Bushmaster types, out there right now. And people are buying them like hotcakes, every gun show the sales are up enormously. Forty-one percent, they were up in December -- for last December, which was a record year. John, what is common though, Eleanor [Clift] is correct, the push is going to come on three things. Grandfather in the assault weapons that are here now, to try to outlaw assault weapons, outlaw magazines that carry more than 11 or 12 bullets, and also background checks at gun shows.

JOHN MCLAUGHLIN: With no Second Amendment, Congress could pass a law, as limited as this: banning assault rifles or as sweeping as prohibiting all private firearm ownership and requiring the surrender of all privately held firearms.

BUCHANAN: There would be a revolution in this country!

MCLAUGHLIN: Baloney! That doesn't mean you can't own one, but you have to put it in first and then go try --

BUCHANAN: There are 270 million guns in this country right now, John, and there adding to them at a rate of 16 million a year.

“We will register our guns. We will do what we are told. Why? Because there is no one out there that is willing to martyr themselves in the name of freedom.

We talk a good game. Look at the Tea Party. In 2010 they were everywhere. As soon as they were pilloried in the media and compared to OWS, they vanished into the woodwork.”

They didn’t vanish, they went underground, they ain’t stupit. I guess YOU will do what you are told, but I know of many that will NOT.

I agree with you but only partly. There are some who will cower and turn over their guns because they are rightly afraid.

There is a change in the air tho. It is almost palpable. What kept all those who were not afraid from rising up was the hope that we could get the ban erased-— and we did. It sunsetted.

This time they will be coming for real and they will find out a lot of patriouts are for real too. If just a few here and there stand up and are burned our of their houses, it will be tough but if we hit the tipping point to where the ones coming for the guns don’t go home again then they will lose and lose overwhelmingly.

And YOU are one of the reasons I have hope yet for this country.

I have a feeling their would be many of us old timers standing the line.

God bless

Well then he better hire private chicom security because he has some real Americans protecting him... and a few probably will act to preserve our Republic and prevent a civil war... one that he cannot possibly win.

A friend went to a store in mid Missouri that specialized in ARs. Not a one in the place. They are scrambling to find other long guns to sell in their place.

Uh, the first three amendments are special. They recognize the right of the common man to take upon himself the traditional privileges of the nobility.

They are, third, the privilege of conducting one's household business without fear or threat of the king's military coercion.

Second, the privilege of suing others in the king's courts when resolution of a private dispute is otherwise not possible (this is where we ask the king to provide his military muscle to our disputes ~ one of the corollaries of the 'right to keep and bear arms'). And

First ~ free speech, free thought, freepress, free assembly, freedom to ask redress, freedom to petition, freedom to work with others for one's own benefit, etc. Even the nobility in Europe did not have such privileges which is probably why they are enumerated separately from those in the Second Amendment.

Regarding your right to file suit against someone else in an otherwise personal dispute, the Article III, Section 2, Clause 2 provisions relate strictly to a requirement imposed on the federal courts ~ that there must first be a real dispute so hypotheticals are out of bounds. That raises the question of just what part of the Constitution lets mere human beings to go to federal court and sue someone ~ and there it is, the Second Amendment does so by clearly granting every person in the country the traditional privileges of European nobility ~ all embodied in the first dicta ~ to keep and bear arms! The rest necessarily follows.

We had 48% of the vote and went underground? When Democrats lose they take to the streets. When Republicans lose they go underground?

Tell me how that is working out? We came out for Chik Fil A. We came out on taxes. When we come out we win becauase Americans see what is going in.

When we go underground the opposition get stronger. That’s a tactic of the left. We didn’t go underground, we were driven underground.

So the guncollector drives up in a Chevy S10, carries a clipboard with her to your front door, and asks for your guns.

What do you do next?

“I have a feeling there would be many of us old timers standing the line.”

If the young men won’t, then the old men must. Even if we have to use canes and walkers to hold ourselves upright.

And let me expand on why I will.

1. I have a legal and moral obligation, having sworn an oath administered by this very government, to defend the Constitution as it is written.

2. I've put my life on the line in foreign countries, for people who had nothing in common with me and weren't my countrymen, in the name of freedom. What kind of man would I be to then turn away from my brothers and countrymen when their own freedom is challenged?

3. I've got nothing to lose. I would rather perish than serve a government master. If I die in that cause, I have served my countrymen instead. Win/win.

Dog, I agree with you. This is my issue. They way you beat the left is to get Ito the mud with them. They know we won’t so they have nothing to fear.

We need to read Alinakys play book and use that against them. Reagan did it to the Soviets and he did it to the Democrats. It is as if we forgot what Reagan taught us.

Before you engage an enemy full on, you cut his supply lines.

I’m appalled that nobody on our side sees this.
