BATON ROUGE, LA - The Mall of Louisiana has been closed and evacuated after a fight broke out between dozens of young people Saturday evening.
Deputies were called to the food court area around 6 p.m. and said the troublemakers quickly dispersed to other areas of the mall. No injuries were reported though several ambulances were dispatched to the area and initial reports of shots fired were apparently incorrect. However, at least one eyewitness reported a chaotic and scary scene in the second floor food court.

Are the Amish at it again?
New Nike shoes on sale?
My bet is Obama’s sons and daughters were involved. So far I am way ahead in these types of bets.
Amish vs. Mormons? Quakers vs. Pilgrims? Hmmmmm.. I wonder..
I’ve been there. The Mall of Louisiana did not strike me as a bad place at all. Of course I’ve never been there on a Saturday night.
Was there another BET awards show at the mall?
Somehow...white folks will get blamed for this.
I'm sure the mode of the place changes in lock step with the public bus schedules.
One of the reasons I always carry when I go to the mall...
You never know what feral animals are walking into the mall...
A chocolate city??
“Somehow...white folks will get blamed for this.”
You may be right, just like white folks got blamed for the recent mass shootings in Aurora, Colorado, Portland, Oregon and Newtown, Connecticut.
Outlaw food courts.
Bush’s fault. Not enough aid for Katrina.
This is one of the nicer and newer malls in the state. My wife and I were at that mall earlier in the afternoon today.
There were an unusual amount of young feral urban youth in there this afternoon as well. Matter of fact, I made comment of it to my wife as we were walking thru there and we decided to eat across the street at a restaurant rather than the food court. There was no sign of trouble when we left there about 4:30pm or so, but there were a bunch of “youth” in there. We were both packing. She had a CZ 9mm PO1 in her purse and I had .45 Colt Combat Commander in a shoulder rig.
Yes. We both have LA CC permits. Glad we were long gone before this happened.
Must have something to do with the Cajun Spice
