Don’t you love how the Left and their step-n-fetch media mavens are trying to make law-abiding gun owners the bad guys? You don’t? Yeah, me neither.

From Hollywood’s heavily armed guarded elite to the radical, anti-gun commie rag Journal News, peaceful and upright average Joes are being isolated and concentrated on as the bane of America’s existence just because we righteously and lawfully keep and bear arms.

Hollywood has even cobbled together a little tsk-tsk black and white video demanding our government do something about gun violence. That would be the very gun violence they have glamorized on the big screen for the last few decades. Hello.

I believe the total head count of the people slaughtered on film from all the participants from the “Demand a Plan” anti-gun clip comes out to a whopping 100,000 on screen murders.

Yes, Hollywood, please lecture us about gun violence wrecking our culture. Life imitates art, morons, and your films probably spawned half of the killers’ bloody dreams for the last two decades. Lecture us? Please. Physician, heal thyself.

Check it out: When upright, law-abiding Americans want your opinion on guns we’ll give it to you, Hollyweird. Now, go back to Spago and suck on some edamame beans, you duplicitous little dandies.

Oh, and by the way, if you truly want to stem the tide of violent deaths, you should have made a video about the danger of hammers and clubs, as the FBI reports they kill more people every year than rifles do. Dorks.

You know what else is funny? The multitudinous politicians and pundits—mostly progressives—telling us what type of guns we should and should not own. “Oh, we shouldn’t have semi-automatic weapons with thumb holes and extended mags,” they say. “You should only have hunting guns,” they opine.

First off, if you think for a second that Leftists are cool with hunting and Americans owning any type of firearms then you are definitely a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

These tree-humpers would have banned hunting and hunting guns yesterday if they had the wherewithal to do it. Secondly, the right to keep and bear arms was never about putting the bam to Bambi; it was always about the right to self-defense, especially against oppressive governments. Ah-hem.

Therefore, when a progressive tells you what kind of gun you should and shouldn’t own, you should yawn and go out and buy what they just said you shouldn’t have, like millions of other Americans have.

Finally, can you imagine if King George told our original rebels that they shouldn’t own a musket? The Brown Bess, the Charleville and the Kentucky long rifle were the military/police weapons of the day, ladies and gents. “Yes, by George, you colonists shouldn’t have a musket. Who needs a musket? You can hunt with a bow and arrow or a slingshot or a snare. No one needs a dangerous musket. We have the muskets, and we’ll protect you … maybe.”

Our founding rebels with a cause would have said (did say), “Yeah, thanks, but no thanks, Georgie Boy. We’ll leave our self-defense to ourselves. Now bugger off, you snaggle toothed oppressor, and don’t make me use this.”

Oh, one last thing: Here’s a little history lesson regarding gun-grabbing and the carnage that ensued:

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th century because of gun control: 56 million.

You won’t see this data on the U.S. evening news or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note, Americans.

The Founder's Intent of the Second Amendment was based on Lexington-Concord... as well as 700 years of fighting to be free starting with the 1100 Charter of Liberties.

If I remember correctly, weren’t the Brits outraged about American riflemen, and their penchant for picking off officers at 300 yards? They were pretty harsh with captured riflemen. The Pennsylvania rifle was the ‘Assault Weapon’ of the 18th century, but I don’t see them on the Ban List.

Thanks for the photo. Great start to a Sunday morning.

It’s a Duty to abolish any government that doesn’t have the citizens best interest .

This way wont work anymore for western governments. Much easier with dictator controlled govts.

States have the power to abolish the federal Govt. yes, the states get a lot of handouts , but it is the federal govt that Cannot exist without
the states.

Finding enough soldiers willing to face courts-martial and a sentence of death for
treason under the UCMJ is a longshot.
Statistics say %25 would most certainly shoot at citizens if ordered.

Our govt is just a bunch of replaceable people casting votes in congress.

If every member of the federal govt were to die at the same time They would just be replaced with new people who would do the same things.

In a dictatorship govt is not replaceable .
It can only be abolished.

Let’s start by not voting for either republican or
democrats. Everybody’s afraid to do this non violent take over. Cowards!

When the left advocated violent overthow of the government, they were big advocates of the right to bear arms. Now that they have taken control of the government by non-violent, Alinskyite, methods, they want to disarm us so that they don’t get violently overthrown.

Ayn Rand (that dispicable atheist :)) once wrote that liberals advcated no violence against armed foreigners, but unlimited violence against unarmed citizens.

BTW, wrong Founders. The Founders intent was to keep their firearms ~ the same way the Huguenots did at the end of the French religious wars ~ which were far less religious in nature than they were political. The Huguenots bought themselves most of a century of basic liberty simply by REFUSING to stack arms in the armories at the ends of those wars. They not only saw a connection between freedom of conscience and firearms, they were the first living experiment in that process. True, but hey going after cannon, not muskets. With King Philip's War still a living memory, no one was going to give up his musket. The cannon buried in the fields of Barrett's farm were intended to intimidate the King George's army, not King Philip's braves.

One of the things I’m finding in my genealogical research is that when my ancestors served with the British prior to the revolution they were called up on a part time basis and weapons came from an armory.

When they became militia patriots they had to keep their arms at home because they might be called up at a moment’s notice and there was no time to go sign for a weapon. Plus, an armory was just an easy score for the Brits.

The gun control issue isn’t guns - it’s the means of self-defense.
Reading about Shariah law, I noticed that Christians were not permitted to own weapons like spears and swords. The better to leave them at the mercy of criminals and oppressors.
The issue was control of the servile population, not “guns”.

For all that Rand got right, I've never been able to reconcile her views against altruism and self sacrifice with our founders' willingness to pledge their lives, fortunes and sacred honor for their cause. She railed against the notion of a "common good," and yet it was the belief of only a small percentage of American colonists that their sacrifices would improve the lot of a new nation.

Had they not held fast to the notion of a 'greater good', bigger than self, we would have never broke free of the king.

American sailors had ships with cannons. Not enough of them to match the British, but they had to defend their ships crew and cargo from pirates.

Point taken, although bit of a broad brush statement.

IMO, the socialist are in firm control in all levels of government.

School boards, municipalities, states and definitely federal.

Hell, even in the great state of Texas which is overwhelmingly conservative, all major cities such as Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin are liberal as all get out.

My fear, in about twenty years, Texas will too become a blue state due to the influx of folks from libby lands looking for work and reasonable cost of living.

Not to mention the massive migration of illegals though our swiss cheese “federal” border with Messy-co.

Agreed, Moore is nothing like Jefferson.

However, never in history have such factors as the level of present debt, an oppressive & tyrannical government, racial hatred, Muslim warfare (yes, they think they are at war with us), and conflict between producers and takers ever not ended in war.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Nathaniel Grigsby had it spot on when he dictated the words on his grave. I suggest doing a Google images search and reading it, because he was a school friend of President Lincoln.

Grigsby knew treason when he saw it, and was unafraid to call it such.

Do we have the same courage?

Of course they’re treasonous but it doesn’t make all of them treasonous. A handful of our congressmen are actually pretty good despite being imperfect mortals.

I’m just no fan of anarchists or knee jerk stupidity as detailed up thread that would do nothing more than solidify the democrat hold. Not every battle needs to be a suicide charge.

Yes. I’m making broad statements.
Unruly comments reflect untrust with republican representatives. They are not capable of representing citizens in action.
Their speeches have zero meaning to me without actual action.
There not doing their job. Time to let them go.
The job still needs to be done. It’s time to find individuals who are more committed to the people rather than their piece of the pie.

Yes, Texas will become a blue state.
Over 3 million in Texas voted for Obama .
Numbers only gonna go up.

Thanks for your reply. However, those links are just other people quoting the same statistics. I just wonder where this info originally came from. This is the kind of thing that gets quoted and re-quoted. I just checked Snopes (yes, I know their liberal bias) and they say they are in the process of researching this very story.
