There's No 'I' in 'Kumbaya'
Wall Street Journal ^ | 01/04/2013 | Peggy Noonan

...He is a uniquely polarizing figure. A moderate U.S. senator said the other day: "One thing not said enough is he is the most divisive president in modern history. He doesn't just divide the Congress, he divides the country." The senator thinks Mr. Obama has "two whisperers in his head." "The political whisperer says 'Don't compromise a bit, make Republicans look weak and bad.' Another whisperer is not political, it's, 'Let's do the right thing, work together and begin to right the ship.' " The president doesn't listen much to the second whisperer....

Maybe this was already posted, I did a search. This is a good column about obama - the RINOs are finally getting it.

I think it points to obama's Achilles heel - focus on rebranding him as the Great Polarizer, the Disuniter of America. Make it the topic national dialogue. Its evidence and anecdotes are everywhere. That is an indefensible position for him and would force all Democrats to choose between obama's perverse personality of disunity and America's great promise of compromise.

The second whisper in his empty head does not exist. What amazes me is the hope some people have or the denial that this puppet has good intentions.

This is exactly what Noonan is writing about. No one is showing hope that he wants to compromise anymore. Boehner gave that up when he commented about not negotiating with him.

IMHO when we start electing cult-like personalities to lead us, there is only one path for our nation - decline. He can still be isolated.

Amazing how the WSJ’s premier PMS comment-or “Our Peggy” is so slow in the realization of the real Obama. Tools like her should be sent to the crazy house.

...focus on rebranding him as the Great Polarizer, the Disuniter of America...

When the repubs get on the same page and repeat "Divider" and "divisive", then the label will stick and the MSM will have to defend the indefensible...oh, wait, the stupid party...nevermind.

His goal is to take the House in 2014 by running against the Republicans for the next 2 years, get rid of the filibuster and then finish off America his last 2 years.

It is interesting that people who defended him for years are finally realizing that they can't pretend anymore that he is anything but what he is: a delusional, power-crazed leftist.

One of the features of human nature is that we have a bias towards the normal: that is, for our own mental tranquility and ability to go on day after day, we see ominous and unpleasant things as likely to be just temporary blips in the "normal," which can be explained away and will not be repeated. So it has been hard for these people to accept that Obama's behavior is not just a gradation of normal Democrat behavior, or that his more obviously extreme, dictatorial moments aren't just exceptions to an ordinary, law-abiding attitude and that he will then revert to normal presidential behavior.

They're finally being forced to admit that his behavior is not normal, this is not business as usual, this is something entirely different and it is destroying us.

“John Boehner looks bad, though to many in Washington he’s a sympathetic figure because they know how much he wanted a historic agreement on the great issue of his time.”

But he did get his historic agreement. He led the
republican party to defeat on tax hikes for the first time
in 20 years. He caved to a fraud and puppet Marxist
president and erased all doubt about the spinelessness of
the establishment republican party. And now that he has
been reelected, like Obama, he thinks he has a mandate to
do more of the same.

She should be banned simply for the voice that tries so hard to sound regal & one step removed from the aristocracy. It is actually painful to my brain to listen to her faux William F. Buckley vowels. No offense meant to Mr. Buckley as he was the real deal.

"His goal is to take the House in 2014 by running against the Republicans for the next 2 years, get rid of the filibuster and then finish off America his last 2 years."

And with Boehner at the helm, the GOP will work harder at suppressing conservatives than fighting Obama. If the House goes over to the Rats in 2014, the GOP will have been a complicit partner.

What you said about it - if he even hears the second whisperer, he considers it a joke on the People and gets a good laugh - a Biden sort of good laugh...

People keep trying to figure out what makes Obama tick, and I think it’s simple - money and power. He has no core principles. He is like every other demagogue in history who duped the poor, the ignorant, and the greedy into believing he cared about them and appealed to their baser instincts. It is a path to power and vast wealth that has worked throughout history, and it has finally worked here. We have elected Eva Peron.

Geez. I remember when she was swooning and getting the vapors over hussein. Who woke her up? Seems people of her “stature” were fooled like the majority of the low-info voters out there. Don’t trust wishy-washy. If the snake oil salesman can sell you one bottle, he can sell you two.

{Contact your congress critters and DEMAND they protect and defend the constitution as they swore to do. I swore to protect and defend it when I was sworn in to the Navy (by my dad) in ‘67 and still consider that oath in effect!}

Share the lead.

Yeah, and not only that, some arsehat from NY has introduced a House Joint Resolution to do away with the 22 amendment so hussein can run again. No co-sponsers but it looks like they are just going to flood the house with stuff by throwing it against the wall and seeing what sticks. Sadly some of it will stick too. Maybe it’s a new tactic of “swarm legislation”!

Help support plant life. Spread CO2 in copious amounts.
