At least 4 hatched while I was watching overnight. I think there are 8 running around. Sometimes they just lay there, then one starts to move, then they all run around before getting tired and taking a nap.

there are links to the chick cam and the Duckie cam. The Duckie cam is only on several times a day. The times will be listed on a poster so you know when to watch. Basically it's new duckies in a tub. There's a ramp that the handlers make the ducks walk up. When they get to the top the duckies get pushed off and slide into the water.

Morning! OH heck! I’m downstairs in the kitchen on my tablet and it won’t open up the cams I’ll have to go upstairs to the laptop and open it! Gotta get the coffee first!
I’ve been on a seed-buying spree. I can’t help myself! I go into Lowes and head to the seed section, then I had to check out Walmart to see if they had seeds in yet -and they did! So I bought a bunch there. I got seeds in the mail and two seed catalogs. Mr S brought home a seed starting kit to keep me happy for awhile. We’re starting green peppers this weekend. Maybe a couple of tomatoes. I can pot them up when they get bigger and maybe we’ll have early tomatoes.
Yup...dittos on the seeds! We’re doing a lot more this year than we did last year.

Did you see the whiners on twitter? Michelle Malkin posted the grinding and gnashing of teeth by the libs who got their paychecks and realized that THEY GOT SCREWED by their savior Obama! Lots of swearing and regret! LOL! I shouldn’t laugh - we don’t get our first paycheck of the year until Friday. I’m seriously afraid of how much they take out of our paychecks!
When I was little and we lived in Groveton (now part of Coraopolis), I remember my dad bringing chicks home at Eastertime. They had pastel-colored wings. I don’t think they do that kind of thing anymore. We had chickens and ducks back then.

Ok... Read over the weekend that the Dims DO NOT have the votes to approve Hagel. And Brennan!?! Really??? Mr. “Allll Americans KNOW jihad is a personal, religious struggle...” How can he get approved (good news if Hagel doesn’t...up to the Blue Dogs).
Rose is in—I thought about trying to listen to her “Rose’s Rewind.” But the. I thought sleeping in would be better for my health.
I’m afraid our checks will take a big hit. My daughter’s husband (organist, music and choir director) was offered a job at a big church in the north hills. Quite a step up for him but even so they are planning on cutting way back. They know that with the Obamacare kicking in it’s going to be tough.
To help make ends meet he’s opened his own music school. Wait until they find out what that involves tax wise!
Yup I wanted to catch Rose’s rewind but ended up sleeping instead. Is Glen gone? Isn’t that when he used to be on weekends?
Even scarier than all the BO political nominations and appointments are what he will do to the Supreme court! He is going to get at least two!
BTW did yunz see the story about Rand Paul’s sun being arrested for DUI and disorederly conduct at a Charlotte airport? The headline in USA Today and some other places worded it so that it sounded like Rand was arrested! Hit piece! More to come!
Son is graduated from college now and submitting resumes. So far, he hasn’t heard from anyone except a staffing company in Pittsburgh. He went for the interview, but feels uncomfortable interviewing for who-knows-what kind of job. He also applied to UPMC for an administrative job. His wife has a job in her field, but will be looking for a job elsewhere depending on where son gets a job. I hope he finds something soon. Thank goodness they don’t have any college debt.
Sun = son....I still can’t type on tablets and phones.
Dangit! Stupid ‘ladybugs’ are infesting our upstairs! I’ve got them crawling on my laptop, lampshade and on the ceiling and flying around my head! They stink when you suck them up with the shopvac!

I get paid weekly—and I got “hit” with a local TWP (paid out of my first 4 paychecks) tax AND the payroll tax...this week, when the regular “two week” cycle people “get” their checks and SEE WHAT THEY VOTED FOR!!! Fun times ahead (gallows humor).

Ladybugs!!! Those non red ones (kinda brownish?). They bite! I swear they do...just like stink bugs (which we still have occasionally.) have noticed the stink bugs are lighter and don’t flush like they used to...they just float around the water and don’t go away:(. Possibly a genetic mutation?!?
Yes! The brownish ones! Yuck! The stinkbugs we have are, ah, still ‘flushable’. I guess we don’t have the mutated variety - yet. lol! Speaking of - I found a ladybug on the toilet paper. I check now whenever I go to unroll it! In October, they covered the outside of our house - thousands of them. They, obviously, found a way in. At least some of them did. I’m looking at one now that just landed on my monitor screen!
