There's method in Chris Christie's madness
CNN ^ | January 7, 2013 | Reihan Salam

(CNN) -- New Jersey, one of the bluest states and where President Barack Obama won 58.3% of the vote in November's presidential election, is poised to re-elect Chris Christie, the state's incumbent Republican governor, this fall.

Having been deeply engaged in New Jersey politics since his youth, Christie seems to relish his role as one of the nation's most powerful and prominent governors. Yet many are wondering whether Christie's popularity in the Garden State has come at the expense of his presidential prospects.

--snip--

At the same time, Christie's decisions to distance himself from the House GOP and to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Obama have greatly strengthened his reputation in New Jersey, where his approval rating hit 77% late last year according to a Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind survey.

The MSM love affair with Chrispie Creme continues. Wait until he runs against a Democrat in an election. They'll go back to hating him.

That RINO won’t hunt in 2016. His playing kiss-face with the First Marxist doomed him.

Actually I wouldn’t put it past the RNC to try to float this turd for POTUS. I think that they prefer to occupy 2nd place.

All that I can find on a search is multiple percentages. If your figures were correct... elections are no longer valid in this country.

Christie is simply what, in most states, would be considered a conservative Democrat. SUre, it’s great that he has no truck with union goons, for example.

But anyone who attacks the GOP House for failing to pass the Sandy Emergency Relief bill that was 2/3 pork, instead of attacking the liberals who PUT the pork in it, is a Democrat inside. Similarly, his full body hug of Obama after Sandy — instead of a polite handshake — shows his true leaning.

The election numbers in the article were for NJ, not the nation as a whole.

Were your numbers for NJ or National numbers? I was refering to National numbers.

Christie is so fat that when he hauls ass he has to make two trips. I would not speculate about his political future. He will probably be dead or incapacitated by a stroke within a couple of years. He is asking for it.

Simple summary of Christie’s “method.”

RINO.

And as such, I regard him with the same respect that I regard a doggy doo in the middle of the sidewalk.

I was not impressed when a woman complained about him sending his kids to private schools and he told her it was none of her business.

Liberals always say this when defending their opposition to private school choice while sending their own kids to private schools all while on the public payroll.

As far as Republican governors go, I tend to call him by his full name “Charlie Crist Christie”.

Don’t be shocked if he changes parties as well. He is all ego.

Christie is so fat that when he goes camping, the bears hide THEIR FOOD in the trees.

Christie is so fat that when he was sunbathing at a local beach, several members of Greenpeace tried to push him back into the water.

Christie is so fat that he qualifies for his very own Zip-code.

Christie is so fat that he can’t wear yellow without school children trying to board him.

Cheers.....

I don’t think Christie ever had any presidential ambitions at all. Personally, my speculation is that he was angling to be the U.S. Attorney General if Romney had beaten Obama in 2012.
